Very nice and good-sized bedroom, with a comfortable sofa

The lighting in the bedroom was not very good, so it was not easy for either of us to read a book or newspaper, when sitting on the sofa.

lazy staff, dirty bar restaurant area, dirty glasses and tables for over 3hrs in quiet periods.. blocked toilets in reception area was given fresh bedding but was told to make it ourselves... no remote for tv.... filthy shower cubical in room...under the beds we found sweet wrappers and dirt from previous people.... i was offered a refund for my stay, but nearly 4 weeks on, im yet to receive that, nor will the hotel reply to my emails or phone calls.... very poor. great location its just ashame everything else was a let down

Great breakfast in terms of variety, quality and quantity. Helpful staff. Lovely surroundings near a beautiful lake. Good location with easy access to nearby towns and motorways. Good car parking facilities.

Inside the rooms requires some updating - carpets, walls, bathroom. Finding somewhere suitable to sit for breakfast required some careful timing.

Solid Holiday Inn experience. The location to the Snowdome was perfect and actually the hotel/Snowdome share the same car park, so no moving the car on our check out day.Easy walk into the town through a park - which was very dark on the way back after dinner.

Staff are very helpful, rooms are clean and tidy, parking is right outside the hotel.The hotel is situated within walking distance of the town centre and lots of amenities.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room large, comfy and clean. Breakfast was lovely. Plenty of tea, coffee supplies. Close to lots of eateries and shops. Next door to Snowdome. We stay here each year at the same time and always been an excellent stay until this time.

Due to the hotel closing the Monday after our stay for a year (which we were not aware of prior to stay as would have cancelled) the evening menu was vastly reduced as items not available. There wasn't any draught beer. You could only buy Guinness or cider on draught. Everything else was bottled. A member of staff said they had massively under estimated how much stock they would need.

We have stayed at this hotel for many years for our annual RTTW, (ride to the Wall at the MNA) on arrival we heard the hotel was to close on Monday 3rd Oct, to be told its been sold to accommodate refugees, Im not against this but the hotel had no Wine, and was running our of all alcohol drinks, we were told we could go to the supermarket, very annoying.

Location and always use the hotel every year for RTTW.

The hotel ran out of drinks on the first night. This was due to the govt taking over the hotel on the 03rd Oct. Not acceptable due to paying for the facilities. Stock could have been transferred to another hotel.

Quiet Room and good breakfast

Bar Inadequately stocked which resulted in limited or no availability.

. It is a reasonably priced clean & functional hotel in the area I needed to be.

The kitchen kept closing for periods of time which was annoying as queues for both ordering food and the bar were the same

Booked a twin room but got a room with a double bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was so uncomfortable so I didn’t get much sleep

The room was nice and spacious with a comfy bed and a large shower. Had a good view of the lake. Was nice and quiet. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful.

Had a bit of an issue in the bathroom and reported it. The air conditioning was loud when turned on. Need drawers and more cupboard space.

Location is nice. personnel is very friendly.

Dirty beds smelling for old sweat. lots of hair in the bath. marks and spots from drinks at wallpaper and couch. lil smelly. breakfast was a simple British typical.

The shower was amazing. Great power.

On the other hand the shower was very very dirty on the rim on the outside of the shower. Tables in the dinning area were dirty, glasses and plates left on tables for well over an hour. Toilets blocked, no toilet paper, generally unclean toilets.no tv remote for 1st 2 nights even though repeatedly asking for you. And after getting one, there was no signal.

surprised that on having a 2 night stay cleaning staff did not come in and supply clean towels and top up tea and coffee supplies in room
