Pros +
- Beautiful countryside and very clean. Lovely welcoming basket!
- This is a lovely location and very restful, enjoyed the quiet, even the boys enjoyed
- Reasonably clean and everything we needed for our stay
Cons -
- 2nd bedroom was not really a room but in a landing area outside main bedroom.
- Like most places could do with a couple of larger pots for those of us that like to cook
- Low ceilings, bedroom sloping ceiling, cramped dining table, toaster didn't work properly, sticking front door, desk fan incorrectly assembled, torn bathroom flooring, no footpaths alongside roads

We loved the barn feel with the beams. The bonus was the new lambs we enjoyed watching them frolicking. So cute
Spacious good for 3-4 people , nice decoration
The internet is terrible, and the ceiling is uncomfortably low -2 meter high. What’s worse is the host’s attitude — dismissive and unhelpful when answering questions, which isn’t just my experience; you’ll see the same in several other Google reviews. Most locals might not notice the issue because their devices default to local networks. But for international guests like us, relying on roaming, the weak Wi-Fi left us with virtually no connectivity. there're more for the towels issue and animal cruelty .
Loved that they were all so close to each other. Nice to have an outside area. Comfortable beds. Nice communal areas in each cottage. The smaller, 1 bed cottages were lovely and very spacious! Lovely countryside surroundings. The owner was very friendly! :)
In general lovely cottages and helpful staff. Nicely furnished & well equipped. Lovely tea/coffee & fresh milk.
Hot water could have been better, and possibly a bit more bathroom/bedroon storage.
The property was beautiful, lamp in the bedroom wasn’t working properly. Oven & microwave was a bit temperamental. But it was a very beautiful cottage.
The local pub that was in walking distance was absolutely terrible, not a cosy pub you would expect. Plus they didn’t have food available, because of the races.
A group of us stayed across three beautiful cottages! The cottages were brilliantly designed and felt very homely, with quite a few modern touches, too. A couple had a really great view backing on to an attached farm. The showers didn't work very well, and it was a shame that we weren't allowed to use the common area, but overall, these cottages were great, and I would love to stay here again.
Everything was amazing, perfect location, the cottage was lovely. Beautiful set up, made us feel a proper homily feeling
The only issue we did have was the shower was very glitchy and would work a lot faster on a cold setting than a hot one but it still worked so it wasn’t much of a issue.
Poor
Small wall heaters not sufficient so cold in rooms with no blankets to keep warm when sitting in lounge. Low hot water pressure for shower and kitchen hot tap.
Fantastic location, accommodation and service
It was all great, but if I had to be picky, I would like some more water pressure in the shower, a few more hooks for the shower towels to dry and one more radiation downstairs, as it was a bit cold. We visited in very cold days. But this would not stop me from visiting again.
The property is decorated beautifully reflecting the countryside around . It was spotlessly clean with all appliances, gadgets, comforts needed for a relaxing stay.I met Fiona who was very friendly & accommodating giving valuable tips for places to visit including the stunning Broadway which is just down the rd. it was a real chilled, tranquil & peaceful stay, thank you .
The beds were comfy, the cottage came with all the cooking essentials we needed, the location is nice, quiet, got morning visitors (sheep) which was lovely for my little one to see. Close to a co op.Fiona was wonderful! Would stay again
Unfortunately the shower was really frustrating, it was either scolding hot or ice cold, we used it in ECO setting which is recommended on the shower unit, there was also no power to the shower so took ages to get washed.
Loved the location..loved the cottage..the owner was welcoming and friendly.
The bathroom was so cold, even though heated towel rail was on constantly.( but we were in an exceptional cold spell ) .& hot water pressure in kitchen was a trickle..but we had dishwasher to use anyway..
Location was great, parking very good. The barns looked great and the accommodation was well equipped and comfortable. Fiona was helpful and we appreciated the comprehensive instructions she sent by email.
Unfortunately, the electric panel heater downstairs wasn't working. However, Fiona quickly brought in a couple of freestanding heaters. Upstairs, the panel heaters were quick to warm up the bedrooms. I have to say the shower was not terribly powerful although the cubicle was a good size.
Lovely and cosy, very clean and nicely decorated. We felt very comfortable and really enjoyed staying here.
Lovely welcoming fire alight when we arrived late in the day after driving through heavy rain & flooding. Very tasty farm fresh eggs available for purchase.
Nothing. All good.
LocationLovely cosy cottageQuiet areaFriendly staff
Nothing i can think of :)
Accommodation itself was cute. Location of being next to a farm was lovely as it was quiet. There were no other people staying in the other cottages so was nice and private. May have felt a bit on top of each other in busy periods.
Second bedroom isn’t actually a bedroom, it’s the upstairs landing with two single beds. No storage for anything we just lived out of our bags, couple of hangers on a very small clothes rail. Shower was terrible (dribbles out and goes either scorching hot, freezing cold or luke warm). Instructions given in the holiday book were out of date and when reaching out to owners for help didn’t seem to get a pleasant reply. One of our clean white towels seemed to have black stains on, possibly makeup from a previous user - also one of the toilet rolls had very odd, dirty brown/orange stains on it, don’t understand how this was missed as paper was folded in to look decorative.
