Pros +
- Comfy bed
- We were visiting family in Inkberrow so very convenient. Bed was very comfortable.
- Quaint rooms in a beautiful setting
Cons -
- 1 radiator didn't work, it was really cold
- Ideally needed a bit more of a thorough clean in the bathrooms. Some corners looked like they hadn't had attention for some time. An easy fix.
- When we came back to the pub at 9pm the place was dark and locked up and we had no key for the main entrance. The owners didn’t answer the phone or the door. We ended up having to climb the fire escape to access our rooms. The next day when we wanted to check out, no one was there. We wait for 45 mins but in the end had to leave - it was a strange experience!

Awesome location, exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, comfortable, great value for money.
Possibility of WiFi for guests, or rather it being more obvious. Tea/coffee facilities were a little unclean.
10 minutes and i went...
Tired, grubby, cheap, bathroom looked like it could use a clean and broken tiles replaced. Staff ambivalent and couldn’t be bothered to show me to my room
The hotel was well situated, and looked beautiful from the outside.
Upon arrival (4pm) we found the room had not been cleaned. We then had to wait in the bar until it was cleaned. We had 1 free drink, and an apology from the barmaid. Then to top it off there was karaoke on, which is not an issue for us normally, however it went on until 2am, and all we could hear was Sweet Caroline and the banging of furniture, when we should have been enjoying a peaceful break. We have stayed at this hotel before 2 years ago and it was a pleasant stay and good value for money. Unfortunately we wont be visiting agin which is a huge shame.
Handy location for our visit
No shower. (Corner bath only). Evidence if untreated damp in bathroom. Headroom ‘tight’ for a 6’ person. TV signal nearly non existent.
Very olde world with wooden beams etc
Needed some tlc in the bathroom . Breakfast underwhelming but evening meal fabulous
Great food and great location.
Bathroom tap wouldn’t turn off.
Quaint pub , nice features food excellent
Cleaning and decorating of rooms , need full overall
Plenty of parking and the staff were fab
Room could be cleaner, lots of cobwebs and a little tired
Friendly staffNice outside space
I was put in a room with the entrance door in a very tight recess, the door could only have been 5 foot high then with at least a 12 inch step down onto another floor level. I lost count of how many times I banged my head on the short one night visit that I was there, which was more than enough. It wasn’t clean. The bathroom was full of insects and cobwebs around the sink area.Tea making facilities were dirty with tea stains in the cups, and a pubic hair was found on top of the kettle handle recess. The shower attachment on the bath for a shower leaked, and I couldn’t get temperature control, as it was either too hot or too cold. The bed linen looked and felt clean and fresh, and I did get a good night sleep.I did have a meal in the restaurant, which was very greasy with burnt vegetables. I am not one to complain, but on this occasion, I really wish I had!
The staff was friendly when she was there.
The room was not cleaned for a while it seemed. Lots of spiderweb. The bed was like so soft you got your as in the floor. The toilet leaked Water on the floor. The shower did not work and it was not staff there in the morning around 7. Breakfest was served really late. To late. Would not recomend this for staying over. Did not try the food.
Evening meal was lovely
Rooms very run down, need decorating top to bottom, not the cleanest
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room clean and perfectly adequate for my requirements. The breakfast was excellent, as was the evening meal. A bonus is that food is served all day from noon. There is a separate restaurant area, and the bar has all the personality of a traditional village pub
Very friendly and helpful landlord and staff. Food was really excellent and bed comfortable. Also one of the best value beds available in the area. This is a lovely locals' pub.
Sorry to repeat some of the other feedback, but while the bed was great, the bathroom in our room 3 anyway really needs some attention. And yes you may need a eye mask because of the green safety safety light. But renovating an old building like this must be tough.
Room was large enough. Pizza was great. Breakfast items were good quality.
Room needed updating, there were cobwebs on windows, floors were uneven, boxes at bottom of stairs. We weren't told there wasn't food on Sunday evenings when sign outside said 'Food all day everything day'. It's usual to have a charge for breakfast that includes cereals, fruit juice, cooked breakfast, toast and jam, and drinks - here you had to pay separately which could work out expensive if you had the lot although no cereals available.
Stafford were very friendly and helpful.Rooms good value for money
A few problems with the room.Need a new shower rail and door lock needs mending.I am sure they will repair these now they know about them.
Value for money, good location, friendly staffBed was very comfortable and clean
Dirty carpet in room
Clean friendly old school pub
