Cons -
- I do quite a bit of traveling both UK and abroad and I felt the Angel Inn was overpriced and rather underwhelming. The staff were mediocre, breakfast was acceptable however there was a long wait for everything and no self service items such as fruit or coffee. The full English wasn't bad, however that was all we got. I was charged an extra £32 for breakfast and therefore was expecting something pretty good. A pot of coffee on our table would have been a start rather than having to ask for a cup and subsequently having to wait a few minutes for it to arrive from a stewed pot..... then having to further request some milk. Come on Angel hotel!! If you're going to charge premium prices at least offer a slightly more than mediocre experience!!!
- No air con at a very hot time
- Loud, Had a wedding there and our room was out back where party was

Loud, Had a wedding there and our room was out back where party was
We had the most super stay. The staff were so kind and thoughtful. Changing our rooms to suggest my 90 year old father should have a ground floor room which was larger than what we had booked. They organised a splendid meal for us and 15 relatives. Food was delicious.
Good real ales in bar. Excellent choice for breakfast.
Moaning barmaid who said she had too much to do.
The location was ideal for our purpose of visit. The breakfast and service was good.
The shower did not work (no hot water) and bedside light was not set up for reading (it pointed only away from the bed). The service at dinner on Sunday was very slow. We waited 15 minutes before getting the menus ourselves. The beer and water we asked for 3 times did not arrive almost towards the end of the meal. There was no hot water from the shower and the bedside light did not point towards the bed for reading. We stayed in Wick.
The location was great, the room lovely and the staff are really friendly.
There was nothing that I didn’t like.
The room itself was lovely - and such a comfortable bed as well. We had dinner and drinks here - the Malva Pudding (South African by nature) was so different and delicious... A great atmosphere :)
Maybe pop a more visible bin for people to use in the lower grassed area - it was a shame to see that people had just left their empty bottle of wine and glasses, along with a polystyrene container on one of the tables there when we walked down in the morning to look at the river. Maybe they didn't spot the bin by the gate as it was very close the the hedge? (Maybe they were just plain thoughtless too!)
The hotel is in an ideal location in the town. It is a pleasant hotel, the staff are very friendly, food is excellent and the room comfortable. You can't ask for more.
There was nothing to dislike.
We were a group of four chaps en route to the Morgan Motor factory. We are all seasoned travellers and found the Angel hard to fault, with well furnished and decorated rooms, a wonderful ambience in the public areas, excellent food and drink and very welcoming and efficient service. (Special mention for Emily who served us in the bar and later at dinner and breakfast). We all appreciate real ale and the choice of HPA, Landlord and Boltmaker on draft catered to all our tastes. I made the block booking of four doubles for single accommodation and received a room upgrade to a junior suite. Pershore is a very attractive and seemingly prosperous small town with numerous pubs, bars and restaurants, and an historic former Benedictine Abbey. It made a great stopover and would be worth visiting in its own right. I’m now looking for an excuse to return to the Angel with my wife.
Not much to mention. Two of us had no hot water in the morning, this was a temporary problem with a separate system serving rooms across the entrance passage. More powerful showers would have been appreciated by the others. There is a very steep brick speed hump in the narrow coachyard entrance, we were all in low-slung cars and had to take things very carefully going over it. None of this detracted from an enjoyable stay.
Well appointed room, cosy and warm on a cold wet weekend. Lovely staff who are friendly and helpful. Great vibe in the public rooms. Good food in the restaurant, great breakfast!
Full of character. Comfortable and warm and clean. Staff were very good and attentive. The receptionist ( Ros ) was outstanding and did everything possible to help
We have stayed at the Angel several times whilst visiting relatives in Pershore, it is our 'go to hotel'. The staff are exceptional and the food, especially the breakfast, is delicious. There was a problem with our room on arrival, but within 10 minutes the reception staff had re-allocated us to a larger room at no extra cost. We will be back!
Location. Staff helpful
Door security. No buffet breakfast only from menu.
The staff were helpful, attentive and organised. The food at dinner and breakfast was served promptly and of good quality.
The room was smaller than expected. The bathroom fan was quite noisy. The TV volume had a fixed upper limit which is understandable so as not to disturb other rooms, however, it was set such that the bathroom fan and the street noise meant we had difficulty hearing clearly and we don't have any hearing problems. It would have been good to have a voile curtain at the window so that we could open the main curtains to let in the light without losing our privacy. We ate dinner in the lower dining area which we chose because it was much quieter then the bar area, however, there was a very noticeable cleaning fluid smell which escaped from the nearby toilets whenever the doors were opened which wasn't great whilst dining. At breakfast, when we asked if there was any fruit, we were offered a fruit bowl with our yoghurt, however, we were only served half a strawberry each!
Ideal location for our visit. Plenty of parking—-exceptionally friendly and efficient staff and an excellent dinner. Menu was not extensive, nothing out of the ordinary except the quality of the food, I would return for that alone.
If you search hard enough you could always find something even in the best of places. But the Angel had to be one of the best value stays my wife and I have had.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful especially Ros. The food was delicious and great quality.Rooms very clean and cosy. The fact there was parking behind the hotel.
We were on dinner bread and breakfast which was OK but there were quite a few additional extras for example orange juice in the morning and any coffee other than filter coffee was extra. There was no cereal, juice, fruit to help yourself to at breakfast.
Really friendly staff. Very dog friendly too. Comfy bed. Good location.
Carpet in room was in need of a clean.
Lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff. Great food and perfect location.
The Worcester suite looked beautiful. However was very cold, no secondary glazing at the windows and draughty. There was alot of noise from traffic until 2am.
