Cons -
- Stains and dirty marks all over the bedroom and bathroom walls. Cobwebs hanging from ceiling were it hasn’t been cleaned for so long. Mattress felt like it had a big split down the middle of it. Noisy other guests.
- Evening meal enjoyable but had to wait 40 minutes for it to be served.
- It was very dirty with the showers with mould and long term build up of dirt. Couldn't turn the radiator off so had to have the window open. Disappointing and cannot recommend

Staff friendly and welcoming.
I understand the hotel is having work done, but room was very cold air con kept stopping. Toilet seat fell off. Lights on mirror in the bathroom didn't work and towels were damp. .
Staff are very friendly and accommodating, room was basic but comfortable enough (very hot though!). Stand for my suitcase was a nice touch. Restaurant on site is good for me and the food was again basic, but good enough.
It all feels a bit... disjointed. A different feeling in reception, the restaurants and the rooms. Not enough softness in the bar, so very echoey.
The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. They arranged an alternative room for me after the facilities in the original room were not working.
In the room I was initially allocated, the heater was not working and the shower was extremely hot. In the second room I was given, the heater was also not working properly.Additionally, the accommodation was not very clean, with visible dirty stains in parts of the room and the toilet. Breakfast was also not ready in the morning, and I had to leave for work without having proper breakfast.
Staff were very helpful
Having to pay a deposit just in if brakeages which I understand. But on going into the bathroom the towel rack was broken I reported it to reception as we didn't want to be blamed for the damage. However they sorted it out for us. They say they check the rooms after everyone checks out obviously they didn't with our room and we could have been blamed it we hadn't reported it
Two colleagues on duty were pleasant.Bed comfortable however pillows flat and very cheaGood shower power
Food poor. Seemed cheap and frozen. Very disappointed Wine very expensive for poor quality.Gave feedback to member of staff. Said sorry but no further action.Poor lighting in bedroom for putting on make up. Extra lighting on dressing table would be useful Tea was also poor qu
It was easy to get to, very tidy and the staff were so friendly. Bar was quiet and breakfast was good.
Shower was not amazing but hot so okay.
The Staff were extremely nice and well mannered
I'm sorry to say that our room absolutely terrible, the walls had scuff marks on the, this was a minor problem, main issues were that the shower had a major leak which lead to a pressure problem with the shower, meaning the shower was unpleasurable to use. the radiator in the bedroom was on full but the controls to turn it down were broke so had to have the window open at night, but then it would get cold so was up and down all night turning the heating up and down so barely slept at all, the hole night was unbearable. the only one thing that the hotel had going well for it is the staff were very well mannered and nice, other that that I am really angry to think that I spent my hard earned money on staying at St Andrews Hotel.
Vastly overpriced for a tiny...
The room was tiny and the bed was uncomfortable. There was no bath option, overall it was totally unlike the pictures advertised.
The room was clean, tidy, and spacious. There was availability of parking spaces near the apartment. Check-in and check-out processes were prompt. The apartment also features adequate lighting and modern facilities.
Pleasant
Was a little cold in room. Also no nets, blinds or curtains were in the room.

Great location - lots of parking. Lovely staff
Rooms needed finishing
The hotel was very busy with Christmas events when I stayed there but staff were welcoming and keen to make sure that I was checked in as quickly as possible. My room was quite small but adequate with refreshments, the bathroom was spotless and and the bed was very comfortable. I had come from Bath the day before on my way to Nottingham and as i had had a long day decided to break my journey here. I slept very well and had breakfast the next day. The breakfast was satisfactory. Nice view of the beautiful tree in the courtyard in the mist in the morning.
A bigger room would have been nice but the hotel was very busy and it was perfectly comfortable for a one night stay.
Location
Only two staff for entire hotel, door locks were not working , dead squirel right in view of our window overlooking consevatory roof.
The property is a beautiful, I had a room on the ground floor was kind of hoping to go up the grand stairs!
Unfortunately on my visit the restaurant was closed, I was however directed to the local pub for food which was litterally across the road and the food was nice.
The Hotel was situated in a quiet location though close enough to the town center and railway station to be convenient. The single room, though small, was more than adequate for one person with all the facilities I would need for a short stay. this included shower and on suite, Tv, kettle, bedside lights etc. in fact everything most people would expect and it all worked as it should. The small single bed was a little narrow but warm and comfortable, however tall people would likely require more leg room. The breakfast room had a good selection of cereals, patisseries and fruit juices as well as coffee and tea. I ordered a full cooked breakfast the first morning but found it much too large for me to manage, I couldn't finish it.
The Room was far to warm when I first arrived and I was worried I would be unable to sleep, however a word to the lady at reception who soon sorted the issue meant it was fine for the rest of my stay.
Our third stay for Christmas family reunions nearby. What a transformation! The owners have obviously worked hard to raise standards all round . We were pleasantly surprised and will return
