Evening meal portions were too big but excellently cooked and very good quality. The breakfast was very good and all the staff were brilliant.

The smell from the kitchen fans came in through our window that we had left open, unfortunately, when we returned, our room was smelling of cooking fat.

Absolutely lovely, big bright room, large very comfortable bed, good powerful shower, nice and warm and very clean room. Staff absolutely lovely and attentive. Well done to everyone and thank you for making our stay so easy.

No one on reception, Plain key card with no room number on it. Didn’t like metal furniture. It all felt a bit basic.

Nice food and lovely staff. Room was clean & comfortable. The location was perfect for us as was not too far from West Witton, when we were going for Sunday lunch.

Exceptionally clean efficient and friendly staff. Walked through the door and receptionist had the room key ready, gave us directions to room and within minutes we were on our way. Restaurant meal in evening was excellent honey mustard pork loin delicious but go for peas not salad and prices very reasonable. Room has to be the cleanest I stayed in and price was cheaper than our previous stays in Bedale

Room overlooked road which for us was noisy as we live in a quiet area so when you book try for one not road side albeit room was excellent

Clean and comfortable, friendly staff. Great breakfast and good dinner menu. Fantastic fish and chips. Bar prices slightly on the heavy side. Overall very good and would recommend and will return.

The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable - it was also relatively clean. It was cheap.

The Staff were quite 'Blunt', and often had to be chased to provide any service. At check-out, I just left as there was no-one around, (the staff were all in the car park smoking). Evening meal was expensive for the quality of food provided. Wifi was very slow. Breakfast was average and the waitress needed to be chased even though there was only one other person in the dining room, as she was chatting with her friend in the bar. The room was also very cold and the blinds didn't shut out the light.

The staff shutting the bar early and telling us to take our drinks to the room also, locking us out of our room 1 1/2 hours before checkout.

Pleasure staff and good room

The staff were so friendly. The lunch and breakfast were wonderful. The room, particularly the bathroom, were outstanding. The location was spot on.

We only had 1 pillow each, 2 would have been great. The windows didn’t fully open and there was no fan so it was exceptionally warm during the night.
