Ate out and found two excellent restaurants nearby

Advertised breakfast not provided as owner chef had apparently passed away a few weeks ago, no rebate offered. Pool of water from leaking toilet pedestal; mouldy smell; broken pane of glass in skylight

We booked a double room but got a twin , top floor with cases a baby cot a baby and an adult with walking problems

Last time we stayed was in a nice ground floor room and was the only reason we stayed there again

Mattress was amazing

Parking was a bit tricky

The location is perfect for exploring Ripon and well worth a visit. Our room was ok, very basic but clean and had the essentials for an overnight stay.

The rooms were nice but the stay was -10. The place advertised open 12/02.00am. When we got back at 9.30 pm it was all in darkness and never open. It stated they did evening meals but it wasn’t open. When we checked out at 10.30 there wasn’t a member of staff anywhere. We had to leave the back door of the property open and leave the key on the window sill. Will never stay again or recommend it to anyone else

The staff were lovely.

When entering the pub to check in from the rear it stunk of urine. We went to our room and it was old, tired, stunk and was filthy. There was chipped paint, the bed base was filthy and ripped, the toilet didn’t flush properly, there were old dried up air fresheners dotted about the place, the shower was dirty around the outlet and I didn’t dare use it. One radiator was hanging off the wall and there was a stand alone plug in radiator we didn’t bother plugging in. The tea and coffee and kettle were on a tiny shelf and the bedside cabinets were worn and scratched. There was also mould. It’s a shame because it could be lovely and it’s in a great area!

Location central for everything . Single bed en suite perfect for single traveller. Welcoming host.

No breakfast but reflected in the price so didn’t matter. Plenty of places to eat in town.

The room was cold on arrival, there was a hole in the blinds, cigarette butt's outside the door in the courtyard and the bar was closed.

The room I had was very spacious, clean and tidy. Being winter time in the north, there was sufficient heating.

Failed to figure out how to open the bathroom window for some bit of aeration.

I payed twice and you said they would not give me any money when i know you didnt contact them. I know the owner there. You owe me £65. Con artist you lot.

Nothing! Couldn't even get into the place. In darkness & all locked up upon our arrival!!!! We had to find & pay for more expensive alternate accommodation. The Royal Oak spot on. Go there people.

OYO response or rather lack of when I phoned them. Completely useless. My advice to booking.com is to write this shambles of a company . Don't book OYO properties. I must say booking.com have promised me full refund...Still waiting for it???

Good location for visiting Ripon for our works Christmas party.

The cleanliness in the bedroom was poor and needs reviewing with your housekeeping team. The radiator in the bedroom is working and requires replacing. No breakfast available due to the kitchen being poorly, please display this on your website for future guests.

Really really bad customer service. Automated responses saying the same thing over and over and not helping me in any way. Passing me to Booking.com. I phoned 2 different numbers & had around 10 emails over a day, back and forth. Got absolutely nowhere. Will avoid at all costs.
