Breakfast was very good and the serving staff were very helpful

Room was in poor condition, paint peeling, dusty, cobwebs. It was ok for a night for the price

Very noisy!, was woken at 5:50am to very very loud bin collections

There was plenty of variety.

The hot breakfast items, apart from the baked beans, were not hot enough. A proper coffee machine with various types of coffee would be much nicer than just coffee out of a jug. Which to honest wasn’t the best.

Loved the setting and the property. Really beautiful.. staff were nice. Shower was really good and I really appreciated the nice toiletries.

The food. I was very disappointed with the food. It was expensive and smothered in sauce. The king scallop dish with gnocchi was tasteless. I was so looking forward to that but it was looks over substance. It put me off eating there again as I didn’t want to waste my money.Other than the food, and I’m not a picky eater, I really love my food! Everything was really lovely and I would stay again

Location was fine. Staff were all very pleasant and accommodating.

The hot breakfast items were not hot enough. Considering it is classed as a 4* property it felt a little tired in places. The pillows were not plump enough and the quilt was very thin.

Lovely sized room with wonderful view over the gardens. Excellent bathroom facilities, underfloor heating a bonus.

Softer pillows would have been perfect together with a mirror in the main bedroom.

Breakfast was very good. Dinner was good but menu very limited with 2 roasts out of 5 or 6 dishes on it. Suspected leftovers from the day before, a Sunday. Starters and pudding were great, roasts were average. Staff were very pleasant. Bed was excellent and the suite was huge with a nice view.

We weren’t told that our included dinner was for 2 courses only, until we got the bill.Bathroom toiletries were very poor. 3 small bottles of shampoo, no shower gel or body lotion. No flannels provided. Getting wet going to dinner as no cover. Difficult to find an open door to get back into hotel from the restaurant.

Bedrooms are spacious and very clean. Good location with ample parking opportunities. Breakfast is offered in a pleasant setting, with buffet and plated options. Staff are very welcoming.

Very comfortable bed and exceptional chairs. Great breakfast choices.

The receptionist was amazing, he helped us out with changing our room and even waited till the party had started before fixing the two single beds together.

Great hotel off the beaten track and we had a large room with a large bathroom. All the staff were polite, friendly, helpful and informative. Quiet time of the year for them but the restaurant was open for an evening meal. Menu I would say was a bit limited but as it's January I'll let them off as what we had was very good. Good breakfast choices but we were both still too full to have a hot meal so had the continental which was very good.

Nothing. Our room was clean and warm. Food was good and set us up for our long drive home.

Charming building. Staff very friendly

Pretty tired building, decor etc. Mattress was old. Heating comes on at 4pm.

The room size was very good and comfortable with enough chairs for both occupants to sit comfortably. The bathroom had a large bath and walk in shower.

All the bars and restaurants where closed for hotels guests as there was several private functions and they wouldn't even serve drinks. We were woken early on Sunday morning to loud music playing in the kitchen.

Staff were great, bar was very well stocked.

Room was dated, no shower gel/wash in room. Some of the breakfast food was cold. No place to sit and have a coffee

Excellent location , very comfortable and spacious room and the staff both at breakfast and dinner were friendly - service in the restaurant was good

The bar in the hotel was closed and we had to walk to the bar in the resaurant outside which was not great as the weather was miserable (snow, rain and wind)
