    Cons -

    • Couldn't access room.Room felt soulless

    • We were happy overall however if there was one slight area to improve, it was the number of staff on site to help with luggage being sent to rooms and at the reception desk.

The vibe was lovely and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We had a nice time overall, with just a few moments of disappointment. The 12pm checkout time was amazing and made such a difference — it felt relaxed and not rushed at all. Breakfast was absolutely great and worth every penny.

We booked weeks in advance for Valentine’s Day and were really looking forward to a special evening, but unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to expectations. On arrival at the restaurant, the menus were sticky to the point I genuinely couldn’t open mine and had to request another one. It wasn’t the best first impression, especially on such a busy and important evening.Despite booking well in advance, we were initially seated in the corner next to the coffee machine, which felt disappointing for a Valentine’s booking. We had to ask several times to be moved before this was arranged. While we appreciated eventually being relocated, it would have been nice not to have to push for it.Dinner itself was okay, but overall we left feeling a little let down.We had also booked a room for the night, and unfortunately the layout meant there was a connecting door to the neighbouring room positioned right next to the bed. As a result, we could clearly hear the Valentine’s “celebrations” next door throughout the night, which made for a very uncomfortable and restless stay.Overall, we expected a more thoughtful and comfortable experience for a Valentine’s booking.

    Bad

We paid for a night stay never had an issue before. Soon as we arrived to check in the man behind the desk was nasty and very rude told us we are banned for life with no explanation at all and refused our refund. Disgusting

I booked 2-bed room with higher rate, the room was downgraded to 1-bed due to technical issue, they offered one more 1-bed room or £25 refund, we accepted first option but finally changed our mind to option 2, we didn't take the 2nd room.2 weeks past, they refused to the refund now.But booking.com did very well and give me some appreciation bouns even less than £25, I appreciate it.

    Disappointing

The receptionist on arrival was not very welcoming and then when we reached out room it stunk dirty of drains, the hotel staff allowed other guests to cause an extremely loud disruption at 3AM, which woke me and my family up carried on for at least an hour.

    Disappointing

Travelling with small children, allocated a room right next to the Christmas party with music so loud our children couldn’t sleep until midnight when it had finally finished. No staff could help, told breakfast wasn’t open until 7.30 when I contacted in advance, we needed to be out by 7.20 for our day out, actually opened at 7am. So many things happened that were poorly managed and just disappointing for the money paid, definately do not recommend. Still awaiting a response from Hilton on our stay.

Unfortunately the pool and tennis courts were out of use. This was not on their website prior to arrive

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good.

Half the gents toilets were out of service, the other half were terribly soiled and the soap dispenser didn't work. Our sons bed was not made when we arrived despite two calls to the hotel in advance (he is registered disabled). Our bath still had the drain cleaner gel around the drain, had to rinse it off before my wife bathed. We chose the hotel for the pool, they even called and said pool closed Christmas day but open Boxing day, not the case, apparently too much chlorine so closed Boxing day. The staff said "it was out of their hands" which was an odd response as most definitely in their hands?! Finally the hotel manager offered a part refund, well nearly a week later, nothing. Stayed at a few hotels in my life, the worst experience by some way. Stear clear of this place

The pool was shut despite being told the week before that it would be open. We reserved a queen sized room but their sizes were different from every other hotel we’ve ever stayed in and it was basically king-size.

The hotel feels spacious and well decorated. Lovely Xmas tree! There was a more luxurious feel than our normal hotel at this time of year. We would definitely choose to stay there again, as the whole place was so nice, and had outside grounds to walk around.

There was a few things in our rooms that were not so good. One twin room had no table lamp, and was quite dark. A kettle wouldn’t switch off automatically in the other, and the wall lights are wired together with ceiling lights so can’t be used separately. No bath in either room, and no single bed in the twin room. None of these things made our stay unpleasant, but we were just a bit let down by it.

Location. Staff. Swimming pool beds very comfortable..and the rooms spacious.

Early time closing the pool...last swim 4.30 closing at 5..does not take account of time taken to check in and get ready to swim.Plus the pool didn't open until 8am breakfast finishes at 9.30...all a bit of a tight schedule..The pool is part of the reason I like to come to the hotel.

    8KrunoslavPosted on: 12-19-2025

My wife liked the treatments, they were professionally executed. Breakfast was good value too. The pool is warm and there was enough space to swim almost whole Saturday afternoon.

Rooms are large and not well insulated so it's difficult to heat up. You need to ramp up heating to 25 degrees to feel comfortable which is not great for the environment.
