Large comfortable room. Friendly staff. Great location.

The room we had was on the second floor and the furthest away possible. as we are elderly this wasn't good for us.Seemed to be short staffed.If we didn't want a cooked breakfast there was a very limited choice. Some staff were better than others at listening to what we asked for. For example I asked for one slice of brown toast and was brought a rack of white. I noticed everyone that day had too much. What a waste.

Excellent food, staff very accommodating,great parking facilities. Waiting staff all first class. Current chef is excellent. Well presented food which was top quality. We have stayed many times before but the hotel and staff, food etc are the best it has ever been.

Bed very worn and tired.

The room and the view over the Waveney. Acess to Beccles was excelent. Breakfast was very good.

Dinnertime menu was limited.

This is an excellent hotel on the Norfolk Broads. One night stay in the suite overlooking the river and the view from the room was superb. Nice bar and restaurant area next to the river. Evening meal excellent, although the menu was not extensive. Room comfort superb. Really good breakfast with varied menu.

Pleasant comfy room, bed a bit soft for our taste. Good sized en-suite. Plenty of parking and very central location for Beccles old town.Lovely view from conservatory restaurant.

Not a dislike but some of the decor was a little tired.

The restaurant was lovely food and i can't recommend the Italian red wine enough its only sold by the bottle but trust me it's worth it.the staff were very friendly and thanks to the company I had my own personal reason for booking this in beccles to reconnect woth someone id not seen in nearly a decade I will remember that night for the rest of my life.

Very old hotel with lots of character. We had a premium room overlooking the river . The room was lovely with big windows so plenty of light. Had meal in their restaurant which was lovely. Breakfast was lovely., and included in the room price.

The toilet in the room did not work. We were moved to a less superior room. This tended to be noisy as it was lower down. We could hear the people in adjacent rooms and creaking floors above. We were compensates and were told the toilet problem had been fixed and so next day were put back into the premium room only to find later that evening that we still had issues with the toilet flushing. Again we were compensated but it had put a damper on our stay there.No lift.

Fantastic riverside location. Lisa, the manager, and her team were excellent...exceedingly friendly and helpful. The restaurant menu offers "Dexter" beef burgers...these are outstanding, so much so that I purchased some form the local butchers to take home. Can highly recommend this hotel. We shall be returning!

Excellent location. Great breakfasts

On the top floor, 3 flights up with luggage is a little tiring. Nice room but I had to duck to get out of bed due to beams and slope ceiling . Nice bathroom but no stand up shower, had to sit in the bath to shower, again due to slope ceilings.

Perfect location. Room and bathroom very clean. Had a very welcoming atmosphere. All staff very friendly. Food was very good.

Room was a little lacking in personality. Bed small, regular 4’6’’. Would have been nice to have a bottle of water in the room but these are minor negatives.

No hand soap in bathroom, the room was quite small and the room generally was a little uncomfortable in that the floor was on a slight angle so that you felt a little nauseous- you have to witness it to understand itIf I rebook there I would ask specifically not to have this room
