Both Front Desk Staff were excellent, but I had more interaction with the young lady who checked me in at 2am (technically Sun, Aug 3rd) and subsequently took care of my other concerns. Both of them were Extremely Friendly, Knowledgeable, and Helpful.
This hotel is affordable, the rooms are clean and they have a friendly staff. They serve breakfast and have a restaurant for dinner. In addition, there is plenty of parking.
Staff was nice, but that was it.

Cleanliness and safety
Price. Location. Parking.
The room was so cute and very mod for what some would probably assume is just a motel. It was in a great spot not far from shopping and restaurants and best of all, it was only five or so minutes from the concert venue! The staff was amazing as well!

The Supervisor was very rude and should not be a supervisor with her rude and unprofessional self. She literally ignored us as we were talking we asked for receipt she said she couldn't give us a receipt for our stay.
I was disappointed with this hotel.

Top Tips
- Reserve hotels 21-30 days before arrival to access rates up to 18% lower than last-minute bookings. During LA event peaks, prices can increase 22% or more. Compare rates for your dates, especially when conferences or sports events are scheduled.
- Downey applies a 14.75% Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT), which is often added at checkout. Review your booking breakdown for tax inclusion and use hotel staff or online chat to confirm total charges before arrival.
- For quick access to Downey Regional Medical Center, select hotels near the I-5 and Firestone Boulevard interchange. Typical drive time is 7-9 minutes during morning and evening peaks; verify traffic conditions for accuracy.
- Declining 'dynamic currency conversion' at check-in avoids extra card charges, as Downey area hotel transactions are processed in USD, even for international cardholders.
- Request a room away from the 710 Freeway side to reduce in-room noise by 8-12 dB. Hotels along Imperial Highway often offer rear rooms, where measured sound levels average 58-62 dB compared to 70+ dB facing traffic.
- Hotels at or near 2100 East Imperial Highway are steps from 14 eateries, a CVS pharmacy, and medical offices, just 0-90 meters (0-300 feet) from most hotel entrances. Ask about walkable dining options and local maps at reception.
- Confirm Wi-Fi speeds of 50 Mbps or more if planning remote work. Leading chains in Downey, including Hilton and Best Western, average 52-68 Mbps, while independent hotels may deliver under 25 Mbps according to 2023 tests.
- Tipping housekeeping in Southern California is customary; $15 per night is typical and rarely included in your rate. Prepare cash or ask reception if digital gratuity options are available.
- Step-free access varies: just 3 out of 15 local hotels publish ADA room details online, and only about 20% provide full step-free entry and roll-in showers. If accessible features are needed, contact properties before booking.
- During Rose Bowl or Dodgers home games in Pasadena or Downtown LA, hotel prices in Downey spike 25-40%. Summer weekends are the busiest, so consider booking alternate dates if flexible.
- Select hotels with on-site parking to avoid external charges of $15 per day. Over 90% of Downey hotels include free self-parking; verify details when reserving, especially for oversize vehicles or long stays.
