Last day we were getting ready to go home as check out time was 11 am I went to car and my fiance was getting ready for journey home at 10 o'clock to the shock of a strange man who was there to fit new carpets just walk in the room to a really embarrassing moment could have knocked the door before barging in as my partner thought it was me coming back to fill car for journey home

The first night was disturbed by ill behaving residents. The hotel sorted it and moved our room.

Good, reasonably priced food at adjoining hotel.We could store our bikes, although not securely. Good to have tea making facilities in room.

The shower was dirty.The carpet was dirty.The bed was lumpy.The sink was cracked in many places.There were holes in the bathroom door.Other guests were noisy at 3am because they couldn't get into their room.People in the street woke us up being noisy.No air con

The room in the Lodge was clean

The bed was too small for the size of the room. It was supposedly an upgrade but the shower was minute only just fitted in the cubicle and I’m not very big. For the money with no breakfast I do not think it was worth it

Good location and food. Very good shower but a little slippery.

Room in Hatfield Lodge was airless and minimally furnished, only one chair. Bathroom had no toilet roll holder so toilet roll was either on the floor or difficult to reach behind you.

Location which was close to the beach and the link to the Best Western hotel.

The lodge is a non staffed annex to another hotel with an entrance facing a main road. Was concerned about security, as the front door was on a number of occasions wedged open as was the entrance to our corridor.

It was not clear from the instructions that check in is actually in the hotel opposite; a sign on the door of the lodge or an email would have been very helpful.It was also not possible to deadlock the room from inside the room. Television didn’t work properly.No fridge in the room.Receptionist did not offer us the option to book breakfast.

Location excellent. Pleasant staff, particularly Robert, who tried very hard to make us comfortable.Breakfast good.

Dreadful bed, small and uncomfortable. Room billed as deluxe! Possibly the least deluxe room we were ever in. Tiny, no A/CTime for an upgrade?

Most of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. If we go back again we will preorder the breakfast as it was quite decent. We got moved to the main hotel which was a lot nicer so we were grateful for that :)

In the lodge the rooms were quite dated and they had issues with the card keyIn the hotel the bathroom window couldn’t be open so on a hotter day - like on our first one - it was impossible to sleep because it was boiling hot. The bedroom window could be opened but only slightly so after having a shower, too, it was boiling hot.

The Sunday Roast was the best I have had, I even made a point of finding the chef, to ask what cut of beef it was and how he cooked it.

coffee and drinks were nice

We had to wait for 45 min for breakfast. They were definitely short of staff during breakfast and staff wasn't very friendly. Breakfast buffet would be much better. Definitely need more vegatebles for breakfast, croissants to choose from etc.
