Having a seaview room was wonderful, going to sleep hearing the sea and waking up hearing the sea! Wonderful.
Just a bit disappointed lack of food for vegetarians. Vegetarian breakfast was ok but dinner choice not so good.

Despite having a lift still a number of stairs to negotiate to reach the room so can be challenging for older less mobile guests.Our room was fine but bathroom quite basic and in need of refurbishment.

Reception check in was difficult as they did not understand how booking.com worked and tried to take payment again when it had already been paid online.

The Steps to get into the hotel - I am not the best with my mobility and they were a struggle. Hotel is quirky with steps at the floor levels too and is an older property, full of character. Only one old lift - but it worked fine
We always like coming to lowestoft, usually stay at the Victoria but wasn't able to this time. So booked the hatfield, it was good, nice view of the sea, clean room ,nice breakfast and staff were great.
The bed was small, maybe upgrade to a king. It was uncomfortable to.Also a suggestion maybe put smoked salmon on breakfast menu, like to treat myself to that with scrambled eggs while away.
Comfortable room clean and tidy, plenty of choice with breakfast menu and the hotel is right on the promenade.
Staff were friendly, breakfast was nice, room could have done with some new decor but was comfortable

Being repeatedly bitten during the night.Also, clean bed linen to make the beds were on the carpet along the corridors where everyone walks - most unhygienic.
The Hotel was great.
For the second time, booking through Booking.com and paying for stay and upgrade (photos of upgrade were not of the room we had) charged me the price of the hotel .I ended up being charged twice.Thankfully, the staff at the hotel managed to sort it out and refund me one of the double charged payments..As I said earlier this the second time this has happened lately through yourselves.
