Pros +
- The location was good, staff where very polite and helpful, breakfast was nice and well prepared, room was small, but cosy.
- We are three mates that was looking for accommodation within 15 mins drive to Shepton Mallet show ground for the classic bike show, having travelled down over 200 miles. We were greeted at 9pm and although the kitchen had closed, they knocked us a meal up and was spot on. It's a cracking pub and our room was in an annexe and had an upper level with two beds and a double on the ground . It was perfect for the three of us.
- Pleasant
Cons -
- Room could have of been a bit bigger, noise off people coming to bed, noice off water pipes, through the early hours.
- No complaints at all.
- It was very cold in our bathroom. We had to block the window with pillows which helped a bit.

Pleasant
It was very cold in our bathroom. We had to block the window with pillows which helped a bit.
We loved that they can cater for a larger family to stay together in the same room, the room was still spacious for the 5 of us! The included breakfast was a lovely start to the day, lovely produce, prompt and hot! We'd love to return soon
The only thing I can think of was that the en-suite bathroom door was difficult to open, but we managed by making sure the children didn't shut the door completely, so it didn't become a problem for them.
Clean, good atmosphere in the pub, nice owner and staff. Great quality to price ratio.
Everything was fine
Breakfast was very welcoming and ample to choose from
Love room 21. I worked late, so lots of room, large shower room and very comfy bed.
Staff, room and food was all very good.
Service was V Good, room was nicely refubished to a good standard. Breakfast was excellent and staff helpful.
Mould bad smell and radiators making such a bad noise like a bomb going off through the night .
All staff great
The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and warm, beds comfortable and appreciated the bottled water in the fridge and hot chocolate packets for the kids.Access was easy, I liked that you didn’t have to go through the bar to the rooms and was not restricted time wise for returning in the evening. Breakfast was great, had a lovely full English with a decent sausage, and cereals/yogurt juice for kids.
There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like.
Good communication
Good communication and good breakfast with friendly service. Cannot recommend highly enough. We were not expecting this.
Very nice staff very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble I would definitely stay here again. Food was excellent and good value
Nothing bad to say
Brekfast, staff lovely.
Boiler noise
The blocked in balcony was nice to let our dog out there and k is he was safe. Very welcoming and so friendly will definitely return
Nothing was brilliant
Lovely staff breakfast was good!Bed was lovely and confortable
Heating could do with looking at as pipes noisy and banged when someone turned theirs on fridge in room was a good idea but noisy too
Spacious, comfy and clean room. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Great freshly cooked breakfast. Even the dog had a sausage cooked for him!
Staff were friendly and welcoming.Food was reasonable and big portions but lack of a starter option ruined it a little for us
our room was lovely but cold on arrival and facing the main road a little bit noisy and could benefit from secondary glazing to help with this.we came back from a show expecting to get a nightcap before bed ( just after 10pm) and bar was already in darkness and locked up. staff didn't tell us we would have to go all the way around the back to get in after a certain time and discovered this myself ...then found the lighting quite poor and had to guide my husband as he couldn't see enough to be safe
Friendly staff and nice food.
Basic and outdated.
Staff were all very friendly, the room was lovely and the food was excellent.
Check-in was easy & quickly done.
The room. It wasn't a room in the hotel, but a chalet type block at the rear of the hotel. The finish on everything was poor. It all looked as if it had all been done by a novice DIY person. It was OK, but certainly not to a high standard. I only met one member of staff and she certainly looked and acted as if she'd rather be anywhere else but there. All in all, very mediocre.
