Fantastic breakfastTidy and clean room Cozy place

Such a lovely place to stay; a sincere welcome, a peaceful and comfortable room, a delicious breakfast and somewhere I looked forward to returning each day. I was visiting my old school friend for her 50th birthday and being somewhere with such genuine heart and soul meant alot to me.

Lovely hotel, amazing staff, fabulous breakfast and great communication.

The stairs to the top room were quite steep and narrow and the lock was a bit fiddly.

Charming period house

Narrow steep stairs to top of house which mightn’t suit older people but they’d said they don’t put older people in those rooms . Typical of those top floor of style of houses .

This place is a n absolute gem of a privately run hotel, the place is spotless, a great mix of modern and traditional features create a stylish interior, Jamie is so attentive and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for her. Breakfast choices were amazing, which you order through a qr code, we went traditional full English and it was all great quality ingredients cooked to perfextion/ there is also a lovely lighter breakfast offering such as fresh yoghurt, fruits and cereals. Would not hesitate in booking this lovely hotel again.

Everything was perfect

Lovely house with well appointed room (room 4!). Breakfast was very good and made to order from the previous evening. The owners are welcoming and friendly and give great advice on where is good to eat locally and what is good to visit.

The Watermead House is located in an easily accessible location and has a spacious car park just next to the building. Also I really enjoyed having breakfast in the conservatory - it was very pleasant.

The washbasin in the bathroom was a bit small and hard to use, but I wouldn't consider that to be a major issue.

Good pit stop on our way down south. Lovely clean refurbished property. Warm welcome,helpful friendly staff. Big car park. Good breakfast.

Pillows a little hard

Warm welcome on arrival, everything explained. First time I have ever had to scan QR code to chose my breakfast but it wasn't an issue. The breakfast was very good and the WiFi also. Quite quiet as it is set back a little way from the main road and only 10 minutes walk to the centre. fair sized car park.

No chair in the room and nowhere to work on the laptop. The walls are paper thin and I could hear every word from the next room. I had to knock on the wall and ask them to keep the noise down, finally got to sleep around 1am. The shower ran hot and cold, fluctuating quite a bit.

Our whole experience was fabulous! Our room was spotless with lovely decor, very comfortable bed and great shower with decent toiletries and towels. The breakfast was delicious and presented beautifully. The owners were very welcoming and helpful . Would definitely stay here again.

There is nothing to not like about this gem.
