Hunters Lodge Inn

Room was spacious and warm. Bed was comfortable. The en suite bathroom was very nice with great water pressure in the shower. Bonus: There was a power outlet right next to the bed. ?All the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast buffet was very good as well.

My only complaint was that our ground floor room had an emergency exit to the parking lot, and the lighted sign above it bathed the room in a glow of light when I was trying to sleep. If I hadn't packed a sleep mask, that would have been a real problem.

Bathroom was not clean. Toilet was used and marks left. Bathroom bin had waste in it.

Very good place to stay. Food was great, and the staff very friendly. Large room.

The room was spacious, the bed extremely comfortable. Meals were generous and all but the dessert (lemon meringue pie)were of a good standard

Dont be surprised if you book the four poster bedroom and it's not to be the bedroom you stay in!

Although we booked the four poster bed room on Booking.com for a family member who was celebrating a special birthday, when we arrived this room had been given away by the Lodge. I only found out when I physically checked the room. The Lodge did compensate but the occasion was lost. So message is dont be surprised if you book the four poster bedroom and it's not to be the bedroom you stay in!

This is our 2nd stay at the Hunters Lodge, we will certainly stay again when in the area, the food is good the staff are excellent, there is nothing not to like.

Staff were lovely, I arrived around 6.30 Sunday evening, no tables available for food until 7.45 but they organised a carvery meal for me to take to my room, very kindly helped me with the plate etc through the doors.The food was great. A lovely location, very easy to find.Good value for money.Nice to have a later check out as standard.

Coffee at breakfast was not great at least for me.I know it was busy when I arrived but no information was given to me regarding breakfast times or location, and no information regarding that in the room, I just guessed approximate time.

Stayed here before and will stay here again. Room is spacious and has facilities that make our stay comfortable. The breakfast is expertly prepared and there's plenty of choices that leave us fully satisfied. The staff are cheerful and competent and do their best to accommodate. There is plenty of parking, the pub offers lots of other meal choices, some unique attractions are fairly close by, and it is very convenient to the A303, yet far enough away for enjoying a peaceful stay.

Sometimes the bathroom floor needs to be cleaned a little better to make sure it smells good.

Liked the surroundings, the views, the service and the meals were excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and were always welcoming and cheerful. The outside terraces were very good for having a meal in the sunshine or just to relax. Can't praise it enough.

I can't find any fault in the accommodation or the staff.

Room was spacious. Great place for family with small kids. There were goats, a llama I think, and lots of play equipment.

It was a little basic compared with other places we stayed.

Room very cold when we arrived and as it was Easter when we arrived a very packed restaurant.

The location was great for an overnight stay to allow us to visit Stourhead Estate (which is absolutely wonderful).Food was great also with huge helpings!

Room was great clean and large. Food excellent carvery on Saturday night and excellent breakfast. Staff were prompt and polite great service.

It was tired. It had worn carpets, was patchy clean/tidy, food was uninspiring in terms of choice or quality.

Only issue is quality of bed and timing of heating. Would have liked to have shower going to bed but no hot water at that time.
