It was very conveniently located next to Knebworth House

It seemed like reception staff did not know what they were doing. They gave me a room and a key, and an hour late, another guest (male) showed up in my room, as he was assigned the same room by mistake. That was not a very pleasant experience for either

Convenient location. Good parking. Reasonable price.

Noisy air-con/heating or something else woke us up at 6 a.m. Very annoying. Also bathroom washbasin blocked. Reported to Reception upon check-out.

dogs could stay at the hotel with walking area. friendly staff and clean room.

breakfast was not served every day due to lack of staff. Room could do with a refurbish as stains on carpet.

Comfy bed. Liked having the fridge in the room. Quiet even though other guests were next door. Helpful friendly staff. Nice having a separate toilet in the bedroom. Tissues, iron and ironing board in the room. Free parking

Carpets are old fashioned and marked in the room and corridor which brings the score for cleanliness down. In fact the room cleaning was very good. Old carpet lets the hotel down.

The room was clean and lots of shower products were provided. The breakfast was fantastic, with so much choice. My little boy absolutely loved the breakfast. The beds were comfortable too.

The outdoor play area was out of order, which was disappointing. The coffee was a little weak in the machine at breakfast. The maid service was not running and the room was fairly small for a family of three.

The breakfast, one day it was nice, the next day the mushrooms were too oily and the scrambled eggs were a horrible consistency, almost grainy

The hotel was in the perfect location for our visit. The facilities were excellent and the breakfast was really nice.

Not a dislike but the dining room for breakfast did not have anyone to greet you so it became confusing on our first visit

We asked for our two rooms to be close together, but one was on ground floor and the other on the top floor!

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The whole place was very clean and good availability of food. The shower was great a good size and easy to use. We brought our dog and there was plenty of area to take him for a walk in and around hotel. We had a lovely break will use hotel again.

The carpets and sofa in our room were a bit stained just needed a little clean.

All staff were friendly with the young lady on reception going out of her way to facilitate an early check-in because of my own difficult circumstances

Separate wc in the room was useful but a small wash hand basin in there would have been better than having to wait to use the one in the bathroom, if that was being utilised

Overall the hotel was fine

Breakfast is served up until 9:00 am BUT any other hotel I have stayed in this means you can still collect your food after 9:00 am. At 9:00 am the servery lights were switched off and the remaining food was taken away. All a bit rushed and not satisfactory if you are on holiday. It's a pity as the breakfast was good. They could have at least kept the coffee machine on.

The hotel is looking shabby the room was not clean the bathroom had dirty shower door and mildew on the tile grout in the shower.The reception staff were very rude, unhelpful and unfriendly.The bar staff were great and very friendly.

it’s a nice location, even though it is near the A1 the garden area is wooded off and a pleasant place to relax and enjoy a drink

the room was not clean. the toilet was filthy with deep pee stains under the seat and dirt visible under the rim. when we entered the room there was a table stood on it’s side. quite random. also we found glitter stars and shapes in our bed. we slept on top on the quilt as it was a warm night. At breakfast in the morning they had one poor member of staff trying to service all of the guest. which inevitably led to items missing and long wait times. the cooked breakfast was not very nice. the pastries were lovely though.

Room was very cold, so we asked for an extra duvet. We were told they didn’t have any and we should turn the room temp up. But it was so loud we couldn’t sleep with it on. Very poor effort made from the staff.

Room was a good size and well presented and bed was exceptionally comfortable. Only comment would be the water temperature for the shower was set too low (so luke warm even at its highest temp) would have preferred hotter.

IF Wifi and Breakfast had been included in the price it would have represented better value for money.

Bed was comfy. Breakfast was ok, the children liked it.

The toilet bowl was filthy, shower was all caked in limescale. Pillow on Childers bed was filthy, with a human hair on it and what looked like blood. Apart from it being disgusting it was very unhygienic. More staff needed at breakfast as one day we were unable to eat as no tables clean.
