Cons -
- The bar prices for drinks ridiculous, 4 double baileys was £52
- The room was not as described. We paid to “upgrade” to a garden room but neither did the room have access to a garden nor did it overlook the garden. The room was advertised to have air conditioning. Due to the time of year, the heating was up on high and the room was extremely hot. We phoned down for a fan but this was not delivered. As such, we had to sleep with the window open and the noise and the light from keeping the curtains open to let the air in significantly impaired our night’s sleep.
- Couldn’t fault it.

Understated, great food, friendly staff, perfect location
Everything about Wentbridge is amazing. From the staff, the room, the style of the hotel and the breakfast. Just perfect!
Staff ambience and excellent breakfast
Heating in the room didn't work well.Mould around the bath and toilet stained inside
Bedroom, restaurant
Online check in emails, long wait (30 minutes) for breakfast order
Friendly staff, lovely room, comfy bed, quiet location and great food in the brasserie.
The location, close to the A1. The friendliness of the staff. The sizeable bedroom. The dinner and breakfast, just about everything was excellent and a very helpful receptionist.
A nice welcome cake greets you at reception. And we received an upgrade for this our second stay.
What's not to like at the went bridge? Nothing!.
breakfast was amazing and cooked fresh to order. The accommodation was superb and situated very close to where we needed to be for our visit
No roadworks on therA1!
Such a friendly hotel. Room was lovely and what a breakfast! Didn't eat until 7.30 on the evening. Towels were so fluffy.
Slight moan, more teabags and milk in the room. 2 teabags and 4 milks weren't quite enough. But I know I could have asked for more.
Beautiful setting old man or house well designed inside gardens and grounds beautiful very peaceful
Our room was near the kitchen extractor and been a light sleeper I did here it all night but room was still lovely and cosy
Excellent location, easy access to A1. Comfortable hotel, food was excellent. Staff all professional and accommodating.
Nice breakfast
Lift not working. Difficult to reach room
There was a good choice of cooked foods but I only wanted continental style and there was a limited choice of bread and no eggs meats or cheese but an excellent choice of jams yoghurt and fruit. The room was very spacious and a walk in shower as requested was great.
The lift was not working in the latter part of my stay but someone collected my case from my room and carried it downstairs for me which was very helpful
A beautiful property , stunning features grounds and amenities . Very clean with super friendly and helpful staff .
Its difficult to review the property in great detail when my stay was to break my journey from Newcastle to the South East. However the hotel is beautifully run - rooms very clean, staff super friendly and obviously popular with both locals and guests for food and drink. Certainly worth a revisit if I was ever passing by again.
