Pros +
- Lovely clean rooms, speedy checkinFriendly staffNice breakfast
- Very clean and comfortable. Stayed multiple times and never any problems.
- I liked the calm atmosphere. The warmth and ease of use.
Cons -
- The only thing I could possibly comment on is that the walls needed a wipe down but everything else was spotless and spot on and I think for the money you pay , it really is great value for money.
- Room was very dated the food was over priced for the quality the breakfast that was pre paid as part of the room was very poor cold beans and mushroom the bacon was so hard it couldn't be eaten didn't use the bacon for the next three days went out else ware
- Breakfast could be served warmer. Bathroom needs more towel rails and hooks. Not a fan of the fixed shower head.

Love staying here, the location is perfect plenty of parking
105 the mattress needs replacing, very lumpy
Easy to check in
I didn't like the fact that our shower was dangerously unusable. I was told by staff they were unable to offer me any money back as booked through booking.com so I needed to contact them.I contacted booking.com to complain about my stay and explain a major problem and they put a couple of pounds travel credit in my account with them. I contacted them again to say I was not happy to have paid £52 to stay somewhere after a 3 hour journey and a long day at work and unable to shower or wash my hair was unacceptable. Booking.com have now said they can not do anything more because the Lobster Pot have not responded to their communication and tell me i am now to contact the Lobster Pot? It's getting very tedious! Maybe they will respond to my review and sort this matter out and do what is necessary to arrange a refund? I find it it very hard to believe they were not aware of the huge problem with the shower. Very dangerous with water gushing completely to the other side of room and into light. Even with shower curtain closed it just came straight over the curtain and was just as severe. I have attached photos to my review of screen shots taken from videos. The photos do not capture even how bad this was but I am unable to attach the actual videos. Shame on the Lobster Pot for ignoring communication from booking.com.If this isn't resolved I will try Marston's head office next. My stay here ruined the start of my short break as I had to be unclean for my first day until the next evening at my next accommodation now I have had to waste more time having to chase this problem because people can't communicate in a decent way. Never been so disgusted by a stay anywhere ever and the ignorance from the Lobster Pot has added even more insult.
Good position and nice room, price excellent
Didn’t have a breakfast but we ate at night and it was was very good
Sky sports would have been good , the pool table was way over priced and the beer could have been cheaper.
We love staying here
Breakfast? We have always booked and every single time its included breakfast..this stay didnt? So when we checked in last night I tried to add the breakfast and instead of £8.75 each it was £35? She said it was due to tax? This morning we stood 10 yards away from the desk and the breakfast was £8.75 each can someone explain this please
I liked how easy it was to check in and out. That the atmosphere was relaxed. That we were able to go and get a great value breakfast when we were ready to. That the staff were polite and did a good job. It was clean and all the extras you need (kettle, hairdryer, towels, body wash, hangers, tea & coffee) are provided. It's in a great location; only a 20min walk from the station and from the SPA.The checking out time (11am) I feel is reasonable too.
There was nothing I didn't like, it was a pleasant stay and I will most likely stay again.
Very convenient, parking on site, close to city centre. Comfortable bed.
Nice and clean good location will go back
Just one thing it’s January and cold the heating didn’t work very good so was very cold in our room
Comfy bed, nice and clean
Our room was directly over the main entrance and everything someone went in or out it you could hear the automatic doors opening or closing then other doors through to corridors banging. I hardly slept it took me until the morning to figure out wot it was.
Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room, excellent breakfast.
Not enough milk and no biscuits on coffee tray in room.
Good location, nice beds, clean room, friendly staff,
Evening meal wasn't that good taste wise an value for money.
Good
broken A/C made room hot, and an overnight freeze left the carpark and paths very slippy.
Good parking, clean and good pub
Unlike my negative feedback I left last time, 1 member of staff made all the difference Gareth, friendly and very helpful, so glad we tried staying here again and we will definitely be back.
The mattress needs replacing, and the carpark could do with gritting and the paths also
