The Lakeland Kendal Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

Great location near train station; great woman who greeted us at reception when we checked in

In my bathroom, the toilet paper dispenser is so close to the toilet and so big I couldn?t sit comfortably; the room was a bit cramped?get rid of a piece of furniture so there?s room for a suitcase!

The lovely and friendly staff. Definitely made the stay better. Unfortunately only got Liz and moey names but all were exceptional

Drinks were a little expensive but thats most hotels

Central location, next to the railway station ,20 minutes to the motorway. Found the room cold but it was winter, have a word with housekeeping they'll get you a heater put in the room.

Liked it all

H,the staff were fantastic and very friendly and happy to help with great knowledge of the local area, room was spacious and comfortable clean and tidy no bad points whatsoever thank you lakelands

Good location, friendly staff, and clean everywhere..

Nothing wrong, but all fairly basic and a small room and bathroom.

Super pleasant staff, great location, fab breakfast, comfy bed & clean.

No spoon to stir my sugar in my coffee (in the room)

Staff were great.

The hotel is a little bit tired but everything was clean and tidy.

Friendly staff and a clean comfortable room near the town centre

Room was spotless and the bed was wonderfully comfortable, we both slept really well! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, we would absolutely stay here again.

Nothing - no issues at all!

Great value and convenient for all things Kendal ( we went to a gig at Brewery Arts). Not fancy, but a comfortable place to stop overStaff are lovely, welcoming and helpful. A good Breakfast was included. We've stayed before.

Extremely good value. Comfortable room for 4 with comfortable beds, crisp linen and towels. Facilities are a bit tired, but lovely staff, generous breakfast.

Facilities a bit tired.

It was in a good position for our venue

The rooms were very warm , no hot water or shower gel. Went down for breakfast at 9 o’clock not a lot of choice or items re stocked.

Staff were lovely, clean tidy and great location

Nothing!!

Staff were friendly and location was good for where I needed to go.

Not being told in advance there was no evening meal we had a choice of pizza or panini. I asked for a cheese and ham panini but there was no ham so had salami instead the sandwich was slightly off cold. Breakfast in the morning was ok just not cooked to my liking the bacon looked like it was just under grill for 2 seconds. The shower in the morning was cold even up at full temperature and the bedding wasn’t clean which the staff did change straight away.

Very close to Kendal station. Also within easy walking distance of the town centre. The single room was warm clean and comfortable. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Nothing in particular.

Facilities in room were very accessible . It was good to be able to make tea or coffee. Plenty of tea bags and milk. There was a good shower in the en-suite. The room was clean . The bed was very comfortable. Slept well. Staff very helpful, friendly and informative.

Corridor noise! Other guests were not always considerate despite notices asking for quiet. It was not too intrusive and didn’t last long but it must be impossible to try and regulate individual guests.

Great central location. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Superb value for money.

Rooms on the front could do with double glazed windows. It was a little noisy in the morning once the traffic started.

It was central to everywhere within Kendal. Lovely hotel, staff were so helpful, kind and very pleasant to everyone. Room I stayed in, 117, lovely room, bed very comfortable, it was spotlessly clean. Bathroom lovely and shower great and powerful. Thoroughly loved my stay here and will definitely come back to stay.

The room is a good size , clean neat and tidy and there is also a lift to go up to the room. The breakfast was for an extra four ponds but was well worth it. I got served a full english breakfast.

I wanted to stay an extra day but the price increase by 60% that put me off. Also one needs to climb an extra set of steps to reach the room from the lift and there is no lock inside the room to secure room from the inside.

Comfortable room. Friendly welcome. Properly lit for reading and working in the room.

The hotel was quiet it being midweek in winter and maybe that’s why the choice on the buffet was a bit limited.
