room and staff
Breakfast only started at 8 in the morning
Reasonable value for money. Good location. Friendly staff.
Decor badly in need of updating. It felt like we were staying in the 1990s.
Staff were very friendly. Hotel was very well located. Pool and facilities were good. One room very spacious. Breakfast was good. Good information about hotel and area.
One room was quite small and located through an area where building renovation work was being carried out (and hotel was not busy). Breakfast area for guests accompanied by dogs was not laid out for breakfast - had to set up ourselves
Rooms were very clean, lovely and homelysurprisingly warm and cosystaff were friendly and helpful the first time I have ever travelled alone and I felt safe and comfortable
I don't really have anything negative to say.everything met and exceeded my expectations
Noisy, no sleep location was...
The spa was run down and not relaxing.
Not far from where I live
Dirty showers facilities not all available
Friends chicken a bit pink but my lamb was lush. Staff couldn’t do enough to put it right. No hesitation to offer complimentary drink and sweet. It may have just been where there was a vien said friends son who is a chef. No questions asked. Apologies from chef. Whole restaurant staff couldn’t have been more apologetic and helpful. Thanks chef for lovely lamb!
Lovely place best holiday we have had
Everything so relax and chilled the spa and swimming was lovely we had a dog room and it was old fashioned but had a bath and was still super clean
Lovely location, great breakfast, good selection and help yourself. The staff on reception and at breakfast were lovely. The bed was comfortable and the curtains provided a very high level of darkness. Hardly heard anyone from our room. Great breakfast times 8 till 9.45 to allow a lie in and great check out time of 11am
The pool area was very very cold, as a result only visited it once all weekend. The changing area was very open, I much prefer more private cubicles for dressing, only 1 that I can recall. The receptionist that my husband spoke to before his treatment wasn't very friendly and in his words "could tell she didn't like her job" but the treatment its self was fine. The bathroom within our room was clean but it had a crack in the bath panel and the grout on the tiles could do with a freshen up. The bed also moved away from the headboard easily. Also only one biscuit by the kettle in our double room.
Great spacious food, great leisure facilities, comfy beds, amazing location.
The shower was luke warm in the room, the breakfast food was average. Scrambled eggs didn’t taste like real egg.
Nice breakfast, good service, coffee could be better. Bed was uncomfortable,
Coffee, Bed,
The spa facilities were really good ! The bedroom and other areas were clean .Staff was friendly
The bathroom grouting had mould and so did the bath screen’s edges. I saw a silverfish in the bathroom too. There was no mini fridge in the room and water etc had to be bought. There was a bath however no drain block and seemed like it could only be used for a shower. Felt like they were trying to save money with the basic facilities as much as they could.
Friendly staff, good facilities including health club. Breakfast was good, and the dinner menu and food were OK.
Quite dated. It needs a bit more than a lick of paint, but this was reflected in the price of the room.
Everything was lovely apart from the pool been abdolutly freezing actual so vold i couldn t get in too it . We always look for somewere with a pool too help us relax n unwind so we always book with a pool .We would not return for this reason .Our view from our room was lovely , place was lovely and staff were all lovely but this let it down massively for us .
Very clean and in a lovely situation
Very dark, dated, spa facilities poorly managed, pool freezing cold! The times had changed meaning we missed out on the first day of gymWe have tried to contact property about the issues and had no reply sadly! Hence leaving this honest review
Great location very picturesque friendly staff amazing food x
