    Pros +

    • Nice place good location
    • Big room with 2 x Double beds, we did book for 1 bed but the room we got was very big and the bed was very comfy.
    • Beautiful room with a balcony

    Cons -

    • Room, breakfast, no parking as advertised, no wif as advertised, television did not work
    • The place requires some updating we ended up locked out of our room due to a warm out lock I had to borrow tools and remove the lock myself to get back into the room, the hotel management really didn’t seem that bothered, no real apology or reduction in the bill for £178 per night you shouldn’t have to do your own maintenance work!
    • It was very slippery due to the snow overnight so some grit would have been a positive safety move.

When we arrived back from being out our room was cold, contacted reception and James came down he was very thorough he checked the boiler, found there was a problem in next room. Until it was on he gave us fan heaters to keep the room warm and when we saw him in reception he was always asking if we were warm enough. Can't fault the staff in the hotel they were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us the hotel is very clean and tidy definitely recommend

Nothing I didnt like all positive

breakfast was hot, fresh and plentiful. Staff are very nice and polite, happy to try and help.

the room was very cold and smelled of damp. the curtains didn't fit properly. the room wasn't clean. outside could do with power washing as you bring the dirt in the room.

The location is absolutely fantastic, close to the lake for easy access to the ferry and local bars, shops and restaurants. The staff are amazing and very accommodating with needs. The breakfast was 10/10 and plenty of selection. The accommodation was clean and tidy.

The only downside was the limited signal.service for the TV.

Hotel was close to town centre (5-7mins walk) Designated parking outside hotel suite. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good - bacon very hard and crispy (would have liked to have been asked how I liked it cooked)

The room (Mews suite) was in poor condition - There had been a recent leak in the roof and the plaster was split and the walls were stained with the running water leak from the roof area. The shower door handle was not secure and shower area could have been cleaner - mold around base) The carpets were heavily marked. The heating stopped at night (estimate 21.00 hrs) and didnt come back on until 07.00 am approx. The room was very cold through the night. We were there 30th Dec to 2nd Jan 2026. The marks on the carpet could have been reduced if outside was brushed and cleared of moss and mud off the roof area (it was difficult not to walk this into the room area) The bar closed at 09.30 every night (open we think until 01.30 am New Years Eve) We had to pay for accomidation as soon as we arrived (we werent shown the room or about the place normally you would pay on departure including and add on's / drinks etc.

Location was excellent Very clean Pleasant staff

We stayed in the main house, 2nd floor the floor board was extremely creaky felt the room below must have found it very annoying. On our check out day, we asked if we could keep our car parked for a few more hours as we was planning on spending a few hours around Bowness, reception told us we.could only park for an hour. Found.this a little disappointing. I understand other guests will be arriving but checking not til 3pm we would have long been gone.

No. 1 was a large room with 1 double and 1 single bed. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. There was very good choice for breakfast and the food was well cooked and delicious. The staff were attentive and courteous.

There was a faint "musty" smell in the bathroom.

We stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. We had a comfortable family room, and the hotel is located close to the promenade, which was very convenient. The room was warm and cosy, making our stay very pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was tasty.Overall, we had a very positive impression of the hotel and would definitely recommend it.

There were a few small issues with the cleanliness of the room, but they were minor and did not affect our stay.

    Great location. Lovely rooms.

Bed was a little small. There was this strange smell in the room. Probably minor but they charged £2 for room slippers

    10LucyPosted on: 12-9-2025

The staff were excellent, service was of a very high standard. The room was much bigger than expected, and the location was just perfect to get into town.

    10LynnPosted on: 12-7-2025

Breakfast was fantastic, location was lovely, very quiet.

Light bulb missing , could do with a paint job in our room.

comfortable, good food, great location, welcoming and friendly staff

the room took a little time to feel warm enough but once it got up to temperature it was fine

Lovely large room. Super comfy beds.Parking space.

Service at breakfast wasn't the standard I had expected. Order taken, we were then brought someone elses breakfast.Toast came very well done. We ate two of the four pieces - two being too well done. We were asked if we wanted anymore toast, we said yes - it never arrived. It seems we were not the only guests who didn't receive extra toast - we overheard another couple asking where the toast was. Waiter said he'd forgot. The selection of items on buffet table was superb. Overall the breakfast was very good. Service let it down.

    4CesarePosted on: 11-16-2025

    Disappointing

When we arrived, at 3pm we found the heating off; it took 5 hours to heat the entire room. There's no curtain on the bathroom window; you can be seen naked from outside.
