The size of apartments, very clean, location

Staff, the room and food were excellent.

This place never fails to disappoint. We absolutely love everything about Roundthorn. The apartments are finished to such a high standard, the kitchen is so well equipped with top‑of‑the‑range appliances, and the accommodation feels truly luxurious. In an outstanding part of the world. Highly recommended.

Lovely and warm in spite of minus temperatures outside. Lovely quality bed linen. Staff really went the extra mile to help you.Definitely eat there - evening meal was delicious (vegetarian choice good). Breakfast was superb. Lovely coffee.

The bathroom was exceptionally cold! No heating there. It also took time for hot water to come through on the shower but when it did, it was great. Good pressure.

Worked perfectly for our business trip, great evening meal and breakfast. Very comfortable room.

Staff are outstanding so helpful

My only negative is breakfast is never hot, it appears the food is pre-cooked and reheated, it’s definitely not freshly made, we’ve stayed a few times and it’s been the same on each occasion, not ideal!

It was exceptionally clean and had a nice view of the city. It was really lovely and the staff were really nice.

Beautiful location and wonderful old country house. We were upgraded to an apartment, so had lots of room and comfort. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The delivery lorry reversing outside our window at 7 am.

Was very easy to find the hotel, it's situated in a lovely location with a beautiful view and some lovely seating in the garden to admire it too. My partner and I came for our anniversary, and upon arrival we were informed our room has been upgraded to one of the apartments! We were absolutely thrilled by this, and the apartment was wonderful, very clean, a lovely space to spend the night. We had a meal in the restaurant as well, which again was amazing, as well as the service, I didn't catch the names of the ladies who were working this night, but they couldn't do enough to help us. Overall, it was a perfect experience, and we'd happily be back

Hotel is in a great location with many places of interest just a short drive. Beautiful building, our room had a great view. It was very spacious with plenty of drawers/wardrobe space. Comfortable bed and great shower. Cooked Breakfast was really nice, I personally would have liked more pastries and fruit too. The staff were very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We didn’t see the small notice that said towels needed to be left in the shower if we wanted them replaced, we thought they would be changed each day. Not a massive problem but something to be aware of.

The room was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.

Air conditioning would have been nice. It was a heat wave and the room was like an oven at times. But we can't control the weather.

Very well located and stylish stay on route south. Close to the M6 but still in nice countryside location with great views. The sun was shining so I was able to take advantage of the nice gardens and nearby walk.

Not the fault of the hotel but the access to the walk to the monument was blocked off
