The Brantwood Hotel

What a lovely little hotel. Absolutely gorgeous. Food was very good, staff very friendly. Our room was lovely and huge bath. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was very cosy and incredibly clean. The room was a great size and the bed was super comfy.

Room was clean and a good size. Staff were polite and helpful. Dinner was good and breakfast excellent. Good location for stopover en route to/from Scotland . Availability of armchairs in bar and conservatory a definite plus - meant not stuck in bedroom.

Only minor point but would have preferred shower to bath.

Shower pressure very variable, even stopped flowing.Bed could use a good topper, as a side sleeper I could feel the springs.

In our room 3 toilet & shower was broken.Toilet was constantly flushing & there was a gap between shower & floor also the caps on the shower handles get falling off every time we used it.

Horrible modern block canvess pictures that ruined the otherwise nice dining room. Using cheap cutlery where they served excellent food! It's a crime!

Very comfortable, good food and outstanding customer service.

The shower (room 7) was ok but it was a challenge to regulate the temperature of the water and the water pressure was disappointing.

The mattress was very lumpy and worn so we were rolling into the middle of the bed. Not a huge selection for breakfast. The thermostat on the bathroom radiator was missing so it couldn't be adjusted and it clicked on and off every few seconds all night

Room cold initially but told they forgot to put the heating on. Once on…very warm!

Shower (water) went off for 10-15 minutes while showering without notice.Noisy room due to other guests moving around. However, woken up early by a terrible whining type sound….probably a problem with the water pipes. Noise lasted about 15 minutes.At breakfast, the butter potions were past their ‘Best by date’, but wereQuickly replaced.

Shower had low pressure and was running very hot then very cold water and it was switching like that all the time

Had a strange experience where I was serve a bad pint of real ale three times in a row from the same pump and had to point it out to a lady that was not inexperienced.The rest of the staff were fine and treated us well.
