It wasn’t a great location at a great price

The room was ultra tiny. It was also very old looking.

Quiet room, good breakfast, and just a 20 minute walk into Carlisle for an evening meal.

Our room and en-suite were quite small, but they were in the process of improving the whole place,

Parking was good. The room, in the old part of the hotel, was spacious. The old staircase had seen better days but was still grand, with easy risers, and with stained glass windows at the midpoint

Breakfast was a bit ordinary. There was no dinner available even though it declared itself as having a restaurant

I especially loved how amazing were the studd, even in breakfast when they brought Molly (my dog) breakfast sausage too. It truly melted my heart ❤️ thank you ♡

Staff very very friendly and always happy to help. Perfect location as to where we wanted to be, very easy to find. Rooms basic but clean. Breakfast would of been nice if I got what I asked for but all in all okay ?

The staff were polite and very friendly as were the locals I met. The morning chef was more than happy to make alterations to our breakfastThe building itself was very old and dated however as someone who loves old buildings it was a treat

The bed was a bit hard however I know people might like that and the sound proofing from the road mouse was not great so I was awoken quite early.

Shower too hot!

Badly in need of an update. I stayed in the cottage and it was very old fashioned and scruffy. The bed was very comfortable but that is all I can say. Location is good.

It's everything you expect for £30. Very tired decor, old mattress, not overly quiet, poor shower etc. But, it gave me a safe, warm and dry place to sleep at a very affordable price which is all I wanted. Plus, the location was great for my travel plans.
