Every member of staff I encountered were without exception excellent

The room was outdated and in dire need of refurbished

Good size room and large comfy bed though found bed a bit hot. bathroom was OK with bath and shower. Room had an OK TV and facilities to make hot drinks.

No biscuits with the hot drink tray, bathroom was getting a little dated and tired with rust stains on the tap. No room view and night club nearby did create some noise but not enough to spoil our stay or restfulness

Couldn't control temperature in room.Not very spacious

Staff were lovely and checkout was so easy. Breakfast was really nice too.

The free WiFi kept dropping in and out but it was very usable

Great location, close to all restaurants/pubs/shops and everything else you may need. 5 steps from the train station. Comfy bed and kettle with coffee/tea set in the room plus soap/shower gel in bathroom. Most of the staff was really nice. Plenty to choose from on breakfast. Would be back

Check in after 3pm but at least you can leave your bag with no charge for the time you going out before checking in or when you checking out and have a few spare hours until your train/bus

It was not far from the M6 so we didn’t have to to detour far for our overnight stop on our travel.

The parking was an issue, very small, difficult to manoeuvre and expensive.

Central location and good buffet breakfast. Hotel has had a makeover and is good value for money. Comfortable King bed and good sized room.

Nothing really. It’s an old historical building and you get some rough around the edges stuff but on the whole I would re book.

A welcome pack in room wouldn't go amiss, no biscuits on tea tray,

Bed was comfy. Staff were super nice and very professional. Breakfast was very nice. Shout out to Aiden for being polite and attentive. Corridors to room smelt very nice.

Bathroom floor is tiled, so was a little cold. Could hear the local pub and bins being emptied the next morning.

Near the station and local to my meeting so could walk everywhere staff were very kind and helpful room was warm and clean bed comfortable

Toilet mechanism wasn’t working so had to lift lid toFlush no meals served except breakfast arrived late due to train delays so try and find food outside the hotel

Close to everything that we wanted to do the staff were amazing and very friendly especially the lady on the reception desk she was lovely

Nothing really but if I had to be picky I would say the bathroom needs updated

All the staff was very helpful and really good the room was very nice and the brackfast was excellent

Had email to confirm we had rooms booked on 2nd floor (Donna) On arrival, no rooms ready (ok it was early so not a problem) but my friend could not attend because of illness. I was eventually given a room on the 3rd floor. They would not transfer the breakfast paid for by my friend to my other friend who had booked a room with no breakfast, no big deal but it's these little things that matter.Room was OK, small but adequate for one night. Shower was disappointing, controls difficult and water pressure could have been better. Plastic curtain in this day and age! Breakfast - not a busy restaurant but lack of staff. Had to go and find someone to empty the coffee machine and luckily he was about so I ordered some porridge and poached eggs. This service was top class.Choice of food was the standard stuff as a buffet 'help yourself', but not as full a choice as other hotels. Bacon was dry and the sausages were poor quality, didn't try anything else with my poached eggs, but my friend was happy with his breakfast. Other friends who had stayed at nearby hotels, which were a lot cheaper were happy with their accommodation, so maybe we chose wrong.

Location was ideal for our needs

Bath had rust spots in it and we were woken up early hours with people knocking on doors

Location I great and nice new carpets all over

Toilets could do with a refurb

Staff were polite.

The room was very tired, noisy, cold and the bathroom was worn out. The shampoo and shower gel bottles were empty.

Staff were very helpful. Room very comfortable & clean. Breakfast was fantastic
