The room was very small.
The location was great for the clubs and to get food.Room was comfortable. We had dinner there and the food was lovely
The spa area was very run down, the sauna was tiny. When we went sat evening it was super busy you couldn't sit or go into anything.
Staffs were helpful.
We drove from Leeds to Birmingham to have a good time checked in at 21:00pm, the heating was not working the room was so cold , we informed the staffs the brought a standing heating and reassured us the next day the maintenance man will come and fix it. The night was cold me and my partner cold not sleep, I was awake since 4am in bed went downstairs at about 07:30am reported the issue that even the small heating that was given couldn’t not heat the room , the staff apologies and said the maintenance man is coming, the maintenance man came to our room at 9am just set the panel temperature and said it is working we went to swim came bat at 12 pm still the room is cold and not working, me and my wife was with 2 jackets in the room , that where I made the decision to ti check out it has spoil our plan, our romances, our happiness and it was not what we had expected. It was our first time in Birmingham and we are disappointed but staff were very friendly and tried to help also we were shown 2 other rooms to move to and those room where cold with heaters in them.Disappointed , very disappointed that is not 4 stars hotel .
We find the location great for us, as we stay at least twice a month. The staff are always lovely.
As frequent guests who stay at this Mercure at least twice a month, we are usually very happy with our experience. Unfortunately, our most recent stay was a significant letdown, especially considering we paid an extra £50 above the usual rate.Despite our loyalty, the room we were assigned did not meet the standard we have come to expect:• Room Layout: The room was cramped, lacking the table and chairs we normally have. Most concerningly, the bathroom was extremely small, which was a major issue as we specifically requested a room suited for accessibility needs.• Cleanliness & Maintenance: We found stains on the bath towels and old water left in the kettle. Additionally, the iron provided in the room failed to get hot, making it useless.• Noise Disturbance: We were kept awake by neighbors who were incredibly loud from 4:00 AM until 8:15 AM. It sounded like a party was happening, and there seemed to be no intervention to maintain a quiet environment. The most frustrating part is that we know this hotel has lovely, convenient rooms because we stay in them regularly. To pay a premium price for a room that lacked the basic comforts and accessibility requirements of the standard rooms was very disappointing. We love this hotel and want to keep coming back, but this experience fell far short of the Mercure brand and the service we usually receive.
Great helpful staff. Wonderful pool
Room could off been bigger.
Extremely comfortable stay. Good facilities such as pool, steam room and Sauna.Room was clean and spacious and Breakfast was ideal! We adored Geraldine the receptionist who went about and beyond with her customer service. We would choose to stay here again.
Good location, good gym facilities and good food.
Clean and comfortable hotel with a good selection at breakfast. The event we were attending was just downstairs in one of their conference rooms so was nice and convenient.
The water temperature in the shower kept changing and was scorching hot periodically (every few seconds).
Location area great near family
Room was damp smiling very cold too. Awaiting my response from complaint in made when I checked out not had a response as yet.
the hot water was inconsistent. That made me uncomfortable I had to stop showering in order not to aggravate Sickle Cell Crisis

I wanted to watch a church service on YouTube and I was told that the TV is not a smart TV and that to me it don't read the bed room two single bed which I booked up a double bed at the back what uncomfortable my sleep was very poor and when we leave there was no talent paper no sphere nothing at all we have to use the bath room the real time it in the canteen
I didn't like the fact that I could know what YouTube the bedroom the bed was a very nice couldn't get no sleep and noticed paper
The area is close to family when visiting
The room was cold chilly. No additional cover to put on the bed.for warmth. No phone In the room.No radiatorGym needs a. Update Room.was too far with my sciatica and carry the suitcase up and down the stairs was not acceptable in my situationParking fee was unbelievable £10 per night.was a high rate than other hotels in the area.
Friendly staff clean rooms nice food reasonable price
Such a relaxed environment and staff were friendly
The noise outside reception over the weekend
Staff are friendly and happy. It’s nice to use spa facilities
The room smelt like wet water
Location for a function we were attending, bar area was nice, & the staff on reception were friendly, polite, & had a welcoming smile upon arrival.
Very dated room, tiny, hardly any space for a couple to use.
My experience at this hotel was mostly negative. The only positive points were the gym, which I liked, and the bed, which was comfortable. Unfortunately, these were not enough to compensate for the overall poor experience.
My experience at this hotel was mostly negative. The hotel had a bad smell, especially in the bar and restaurant areas. The interior is in very poor condition and many things do not work most of the time. Soundproofing is extremely bad, as I could clearly hear people watching TV in the room next to mine. The corridor floor leading to my room was dirty, which gave a very unpleasant first impression. Yesterday, I wanted to have lunch, but the food options I wanted (salmon or chicken wings) were not available. The only option offered was burgers, which was very disappointing.
the location was perfect
the Hotel it self was run down the rooms was horrible and not clean very very dusty
