Pros +
- Friendly staff and hearty breakfast. Convenient location for access to the surrounding areas.
- Closeness to where I was working, room clean, easy access to get in. All info needed due to it being self check in. Room was warm. Breakfast was a good selection. Reasonable cost.
- Easy self check in, although a bit unusual not to have anyone greet you. Felt a bit like I was breaking in! Room and bathroom were nice, and it was a comfortable one night stay with parking and a good location. Breakfast room looked nice but as I had to leave before 8am I didn't get to try the food.
Cons -
- There was nothing that we didn't like.
- Ifelt a little uneasy, as I think the hotel was fairly empty, without there being any staff. The bathroom was very tired and mouldy in places. It needs updating. Lady serving breakfast t-shirt was filthy, which was a bit off putting.

Noisy. Thin walls. Loud party in the next room until the early hours. No sleep. Not the Hotels fault if people can't behave themselves. Comfy beds. Great Breakfast the next morning served by lovely staff.
Thin walls.
The room was very clean and I could adjust the temperature according to my. preference. I had an excellent breakfast served by a lovely lady.
Perfect in all respect.
Great rooms, lovely girl serving breakfast, super quick in answering queries and requests for room numbers been staying her quite a bit over the past fees weens, nursing a poorly relative

Nothing everything great
The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and tidy but had no heating on the first day. Overall the stay was ok.
no bar, Stained duvet cover
Other than the fact it was conveniently located, nothing.
The property was cold and I had to sleep in my coat during the night because the room was so cold. The shower was not useable as the bathroom floor was filthy and stained. I would not stay here again, nor wish the experience on someone else.
Breakfast was excellent such choice and qauntity and the service really good Beds comfy and tidy room Good TV Lovely clean bathroom Beautiful white towels in the rooms Good information provided on how to get into when the reception area when it was closed for the evening Good nearby bus stops to take you into Keighley and areas Could not hear traffic despite being so close to the main road
Was cold upon entering the building in the evening through the back door area were there was no heating on which had a negative reaction There was a window open in the bedroom so it was really cold in the room and took a while for the room to heat up Skirting boards in areas could have done with a good clean both bedroom and bathroom Felt very cold when we went down to the dining room for breakfast in the morning Would have been nice to have had some background music on low We went in around to the car park as it was 7pm in the evening and pitch black , the stairs down to the back area were the car park was were quite steep with no lighting near the stone steps felt that area could have done with some sensor lights to avoid people slipping and seeing properly especially when carrying luggage. I am.almost 70 so I struggled down the steps and it had been raining so was very wary of slipping , carrying luggage and trying to see in a dim light Never used the kettle as we would have only had the bathroom sink to take the cold water from as the kettle was empty upon arrival ( would never use the water to fill up a kettle from a bathroom )
Stayed here twice this year 2025 Excellent Breakfast both times very caring every morning. Nice pub nearby . Excellent bus service outside Hotel with destinations to Keighley,Skipton,Ilkley and beyond .
None , I can't think of anything.
The bed was super comfortable. Lots of parking and easy and secure check in
Unfortunately the kitchen had an issue with the gas hob meaning there was a more limited breakfast choice. But the staff member was very apologetic and kind
Great value for money, easy to find, easy parking in a handy location for a weekend on the Worth Valley Railway. A comfortable good sized room with a view, serviced each day, good range of breakfast choices and friendly staff. The digital entry system works smoothly as well.
Little things could be improved but only by increasing prices and I thought it well worth the price paid.
It was fantastic dog friendly no worries Sarah who did everything was fantastic and breakfast was outstanding ?
Easy auto check in. The room was large, warm and comfortable. I had to miss breakfast (I was walking the Pennine Way and needed to make an early start. Good suggestions for place to eat.
This is such an efficient way to run a small hotel. Check in was a breeze, the place was easy to find (an easy 30 minute walk from the railway station, but if arriving by car, there is a roomy car park at the rear). The room was spotless, warm and comfortable and the breakfast offering was the best I have seen outside major hotels. Top marks for having porridge and kippers as options. I will recommend Dalesgate to any friends visiting the K&WV Railway. Thank you for your Yorkshire hospitality
Location was good, nice hotel with history, very clean and comfortable, great breakfast and lovely staff
Beds really comfy, decent size room, breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, cereals, yogurts, fruit, toast, croissants and more the English breakfast was fresh and hot, included in the price of the room
Lovely, staff warm and welcoming like the breakfast
The car park was too dark at night
