    Pros +

    • Clean, comfortable room. Pleasant staff and excellent reach of all the city,s amenities
    • The beautiful grandness of the building, the staircase, the glossy tiled entrance from the carpark were amazing. Had a snoop into the ballroom, amazing chandelier! Hadn't got my camera! Perfect position to walk into Bradford, went to Bradford Live to see the Kaisers! And there is free parking behind.
    • It was a terrible night...

    Cons -

    • Everything was good. No complaintspœ
    • Our bedroom was probs one of the cheapest, so we were up and through a firedoor, where it started to smell, damp maybe? A different smell anyway, and the room wasn't as grand as walking through the rest of the hotel, but it was large, with a kettle, loo, shower, and comfy bed, just a bit shab. And I don't think you could open a window? But it was lovely and warm, the radiator certainly worked!
    • Bath wasn’t plumbed in shower didn’t work and heating didn’t work

A beautiful hotel with lovely sumptuous lobbies and architecture and friendly staff. The location is in the centre of Bradford and comes with parking so that's great too.

Good location, easy parking, comfortable bed, clean.

Room could do with a bit of TLC

    9MarkPosted on: 2-21-2026

Central location, gracious interior and very helpful staff

Some of the decor is a little tired and needs a refresh.

The look and the history of hotel

Needs updating/ no usb sockets and no blind on bathroom window

The Staff were welcoming and pleasant. The facility met our expectations. We will definitely go back!

Just the surrounding wasn't as neat as the inside the hotel . Liters here and there

I liked the way that this late 19th C Hotel retained the opulence of a time when the city was a thriving . I particularly liked the way that the Midland Hotel has been adapted for use in the early 21st C .

Midland Hotel offers a pleasant location in Bradford city centre, and could be recommended for anybody travelling. Breakfasts are good here and the en suite rooms comfortable and nicely furnished. (The hotel was helpful in arranging an extra night needed for various reasons on this occasion.). The hotel carpark is a useful feature.

No problems here. Some travellers might note that the evening meals are served in the bar rather than the dining room.

I love the style and the age of the building. Makes a great change from staying in these modern motel/hotels where everything is bog standard. The hotel was alongside the city centre. The staff were nice and friendly.

    The common areas

Everything. The reception staff were appalling. At one point asking me to confirm my booking by showing my bank account even though they had a printed version of my confirmation (which they had obtained and printed before I arrived!). The room was terrible. Smelt like someone had been smoking in there for 7 days straight. It was completely rank. No heating whatsoever. Car park was helpful except it’s the smallest and narrowest car park ever

We were attending the vintage dance event at the hotel. We managed to get a free parking space in the hotel car park, this is first come first served car park. The room was very good, comfortable bed, room and bathroom very clean. The room was at the back of the hotel and it was pretty quiet through the night. We had a meal in the bar, which was very nice. Breakfast was good value and pretty good. The two ballrooms in the hotel are very beautiful and the other period features inside and outside the hotel are lovely.

Just a small point but I hate tinned tomatoes being served at breakfast.

The staff were fantastic and the location

The room was freezing in the middle of the night and radiator wouldn't work until the morning, the window also rattled through the night and kept me awake

Amazing place, good location.. free parking, and clean room

I can't say I dislike any of it. Just needed modernization.

I was upgraded to room 144 as I use this hotel frequently a comfortable experience

    8JemmaPosted on: 2-13-2026

Excellent location, right in the heart of the city with good transport links. The room was comfortable but needs upgrading - it looks a little worn out. Could do with more plug sockets too. Check in and out was efficient, staff were pleasant.

Nothing bad, just needs a freshen up.
