    • Great location, very clean, really good facilities.

    Cons -

    • The breakfast quality was poor to the point we didn't pay for the 2nd morning. In particular, the coffee which was from a machine. Conserves for toast were poor. We were woken up by wedding party guests talking loudly and smoking outside at 4am.

    • Pool walls need re-tiling. If you don’t book for the Grill you won’t get in. There are options nearby.

Great location, very clean, really good facilities.

several guests car parking was not great, perhaps a bit arrogant with big cars?Nothing to do with the staff or facility.Room felt a wee bit cold at night.

Breakfast was good though we would have liked more fresh fruit. Staff were all friendly and welcoming.

The changing room & pool area was incredibly slippery. We almost fell and saw another lady fall who said it was the second time. The swimming lane took up two thirds of the pool and was very quiet whilst there were a number of families all trying to play/swim on the small third of the pool. There were just four pillows for four people in our room and no extra pillows in wardrobe or anything. We would have been more comfortable with some more. The Grill was poorly organised. It was busy but there didn't seem much order, it took us over two hours for a family of four to have a meal and the food came out and had clearly been sitting waiting to come. The quality of the food was not as we had expected. During this two hours we weren't offered a second drink by the (very friendly & pleasant) waiting staff at all and were offered our bill before we had been offered dessert so we had to ask if we could order some.

    Spa facilities, free parking

Very dated, from reception to the spa it’s old and don’t feel very wow’d by the place

    3JacquelinePosted on: 2-18-2026

Room very dated no hot water freezing cold showers

    Cold showers glasses dirty

Location and facilities and quality of the rooms

Large que in arrival to check in there is a need for more staff in the evening on the check in and more pillows in the room instead of collecting from reception, also the price of breakfast is very high and needs improving as the quality of breakfast is not the same as it used to be to be and pool women’s changing rooms need a a deep clean when children are in and family’s as it was noticeable during busy times they need stronger cleaning product to eliminate smell of toilets

Closed bars. Annoying 'urgent' check in emails.

I thought the grounds and the property was really nice ..

We was situated near to what seem to be a fire escape / smoking area , well people who was staying kept on opening and closing . 2-5 Mins later someone else would slam the door open and close it and repeatedly do this 7/8 times .. this went on through. The night ..

Staff were very friendly and pleasant and the food and drink was of a decent quality. The rooms are dated and lacking the final touches such as bottled water and additional pillows. The problem with this hotel is the noise generated from the bars and restaurants which went on till way past midnight. There was a wedding function happening which may explain the loud music and voices but no way could you get a good nights sleep. The only pillows available were more like bricks. We got very little sleep and were glad to leave the hotel at 0500am.

It was a beautiful building in lovely surroundings

The walls were paper thin 2 out of 3 days we were disturbed by the neighbours and the overall noise from banging doors and kids running up and down the corridors

    8PhilipPosted on: 2-16-2026

Room was quiet, clean and perfectly warm.Hard pillow was swapped pleasantly at reception.Lovely breakfast, although coffee was industrial.Definitely stay again.

Chips at dinner were cold and service in the bar on a Sunday was average

Lovely location, the staff were helpful and friendly, we chose the half board deal and the food was very tasty

Our coffee maker in our room didn’t seem to warm up and it hadn’t had the previous pod emptied, behind the bed side tables and bed were very dusty, not huge things really it didn’t effect our stay but it would some people
