Pros +
- The cleanliness and neatness of the place
- Went to a rave at the waterfront, booked 3 rooms. Our room a twin was spot on however be mindful the loo and shower is the other end of a corridor. 2nd room was a double, looked nice bit wardrobe shelf was borderline broken, 3rd room I didn't see but our friend said it reeked of stale cigarettes which has also been pointed out on other reviews. Cheap £44 for each room. 5min or so walk to the waterfront venue.
- Basic, but clean and secure accommodation.
Cons -
- The toilets are not in suite, the toilets are far from the rooms
- Trip to the toilet from room 1 but fair enough, 1 of the rooms stunk of cigarette.
- I had to go into the busy restaurant downstairs when I first arrived. It took them a little while to show me to my room.

I had to go into the busy restaurant downstairs when I first arrived. It took them a little while to show me to my room.
Interior of place is bit like a 'rabbit warren' but getting around is made very easy by ample splendid/clear direction signs at every turning.Efficient no fuss dealing with the only member of staff i met on my arrival, quickly explaining use of exterior & bedroom door pass card.
Availability of a simple chair in the bedroom would have been good.
Not a lot.
Hotel above indian reaeaurant, smelly. No car parking, owner has no personality. Shared bathroom.
absoloutley lovely staff lovely cleaeners friendly smiley happy to help and assist with any needs stay here so often with my partner dont need to look anywhere else
nothing to not like
Dingy and uncomfortable
It had not been cleaned, the floor had bits all over it (and a used cigarette butt that my partner stepped on) and there were multiple stains on the walls and bed sheets
Room was cold and could not increase heating, it kept reducing to 20 degrees
Room temperature
Good location, friendly staff and somewhere safe to store luggage before check in. I had my own en suite which was new and very modern
Single glazing so very noisy as busy road outside plus paper thin walls so could hear other guests.
The bed was comfortableWiFi worked sufficiently
No TV as listed there would beNo iron as listed there would beNo free toiletries as listed there would beI had to have the heating on full blast as the windows were single glazed and I woke up at 2am frozenGreen tea was the only option in the morningThere were ink stains on my duvet
Location and staff were excellent, room was clean.
Shared bathrooms. 7 rooms shared 1 bathroom as far as I could tell. They were very clean when I arrived, but of course the same cannot be said for the other guests using it.Other guests felt it appropriate to conduct an argument at 4am until 6am. There didn't seem to be any staff on hand to deal wuth it so this situation as a single woman alone felt very unsafe and upsetting as no way of getting to the bathroom without encountering other aggressive guests in the corridoor.Would be an appropriate hotel for stag do where not much time is actually spent in the hotel though.Absolutely unsuitable for solo female travellers.
Bed was comfortable. The toilet though separate was very clean and well looked after. Check in was very smooth and easy.
The sheets had a few stains and there was a hole in the wall. There were also a constant knocking sound throughout the night. Major issue was the TV not working. My dad went and asked if they could fix it as he wanted to use it during his stay here. They ended up telling him that someone broke in yesterday. Though I am unsure if they meant broke in or broke it. They said they were going to send someone to come fix it, but never did.
The set up is nice and cosy with a tv in the room and a kettle
It was soooo cold here I had to leave late in the night as I was shivering , the heating was not working so the radiator was off but this was not told to me. It’s also really noisy with other guests walking and talking also from outside the building.
Cheap and cheerful. Staff were lovely and accommodating
Unfortunately the noise was unbearable the night we stayed, a party was going on till 2am with music that shook the hole hotel. The couple in the room next to us were having an argument from around 3am and was on and off till we left around 11am. Not that this is the hotels fault but clearly the rooms have very thin walls as we could hear every word.
Good value for money, great for a one night stay. Shared bathrooms were clean, easy walk into town.
Shower was lukewarm at night, it was difficult to hear the room - we weren’t sure if the thermostat was working properly and duvet was a bit thin.
Good location
Room & bedding was absolutely filthy and the staff was rude!No parking facilities.
Good value for money
Awsome place just one complaint not against the hotel but people staying there talking loud as going through corridors woke me up 3 times overall noce place for money
As described. Centre of city for easy access.Hotel as described
Tea making.A welcome pack.
Bad
Couldn't check in until 3 hours after check in as the room wasn't ready. This made it very unclear with 2 very young children.
Lovely staff, perfect room for what you pay, clean, great location
