Nice renovated rooms

No drawers or fridge in room; not recommended for a long stay. Staff were friendly but seemed inexperienced.

The staff were great. They tried very hard to do the best with what they had. Hotel was clean and even when we didn't require room service they left new towels and toilet paper outside the door for us to use. Altered our reservation with no problem

No air conditioner, but lent us a fan. No pool/fitness area even though the advertisement lead us to believe there was. Wifi was sketchy at best

Absolutely freezing in bedroom and bathroom even with heating on. Horrible night's sleep as far too cold. Not what I expected from.holiday inn

Clean and friendly, not close to city centre but close to where I needed to be. Excellent breakfast.

Staff were so fantastic and accommodating. Upgraded me for free and gave us a meeting room last minute!

A really comfortable room, quiet and cool. Great staff and good hearty breakfast.

A fair distance from the city centre, but that is not a drawback unless you don't have transport.

Accessibility and staff

The hotel definitely needs some TLC. The lift makes strange noises every time it’s used, which isn’t the most reassuring experience. The room itself wasn’t the cleanest – there were plenty of spider webs and a noticeable layer of dust in several areas. The toilet was oddly twisted in position, and the shower silicone clearly had some fungus growing in it. The bedside tables have seen better days too, with the laminated tops chipping away and in need of refreshing.That said, the staff were extremely nice, friendly, and helpful, which was the highlight of the stay. With some proper maintenance and cleaning attention, this place could be much better.

The room was clean and presentable. A comfortable stay with the children. The breakfast was good.

Having to pay for parking as extra was a pain. Having to go back to the car to get my car with thr kids lately a night was annoying. Would be better if this could be added to the overall booking price.

The beds were comfortable and they have made up the sofa bed upon request prior our arrival.

No fried eggs but this is petty.

Nice room, comfortable bed, good breakfast, and super friendly staff. There's a large paid car park available and the location is close to the city center, about 2 miles by car. Plus, there’s a big supermarket nearby if you need anything in a pinch.

Our room was in the back, so there wasn’t much of a view.

Location. All Staff were extremely helpful, friendly. I had a problem with my shower and it was fixed within a few minutes. I phoned to be sure that the rooms booked were close by, very helpful man.

The toilet door, very bad design, one touch and it banged shut, really didn’t need this noise early mornings when the workers were getting ready to leave.

We really liked how clean the hotel was. Staff were really friendly and so was housekeeping. We were on the ground floor and we never really heard our upstairs neighbours which was great. The continental style breakfast in the morning was always well organised and nice.

The carpet in our room was stained (though cleaned) and the only view from our window was the bike shed. I'm nitpicking because we really didn't mind these things.

The building on the left made us feel uncomfortable. Lift was a bit dodgy and also had some issues with the lights

Quick check in. Clean room. Sofa bed already set up for use and baby crib set up in the room prior to arrival. Free breakfast was great.

Curtains not black out so it was quite light in the morning. Minor issue though.

We couldn't use the lounge bar area late evenings because it was full of drunk rowdy gypsies. We don't usually complain but felt this spoilt the stay a bit. There were Chinese takeaway food plates everywhere and no end of cigarette ends all over the floor outside entrance. There was no way we could sit relaxing. We did complain to staff but they said they couldn't do much because we booked it through yourselves. They were encourageing us to join ihg because we would get holidays cheaper. We always find it easy to book with you being of an older generation. So therefore no compensation. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you. I did try emailing you but it kept saying undelivered.

The location nice and quiet and helpful staff

was given the wrong room to start with ordered double bed and single but was given one double bed. The meals were a lot to be desired not much of a choice although what we did choose was fine.

well could have been given the correct room to begin with and as I said in previous answer the meals were nothing special but were okay but we had to change our plans and meet friends at another venue for a evening meal

Immediately felt very comfortable in an exceptionally clean hotel. The staff were great, Lewis our reception agent went out of his way to accommodate us for our cycling trip. Room was spacious, clean & comfortable. Excellent shower & very comfortable bed. Dinner was very tasty & lovely selection of food for breakfast. Perfect stopping-off point & looking forward to using again.
