Slotshotellet Aalborg

Extremely comfortable and modern hotel, in a wonderful location overlooking the waterfront. Large bedroom with good en-suite facilities, comfy bed. Very good breakfast with lots of choice, all very tastefully presented. Lots of comfortable outdoor places to sit. Easy to walk to anywhere in the city. Parking, although you pay extra, was right by the hotel and very easy to arrange via a pay machine.

The TV was difficult to work out, and we had to ask for help. The instructions would benefit from being clearer!

breakfast was very good

there was no air conditioning, thus it was really hot during the daythe Gym was out of order

We were on our honeymoon and the hotel provided a small gift to us in our room. When there was a problem with our TV they upgraded us with no extra charge. The staff was excellent and very welcoming. 10/10- would recommend!

Could have been a fan in the room, but no issue to complain about.

The location it also was newly renovated the breakfast was great.Large shopping centre across the road.Easy walk to restaurants and shops.

No coffee making in room. Front room noisy get a room at the sides.

The public areas are very comfortable and clean. The bedrooms are modern and uncluttered with comfortable beds and practical bathrooms including good quality shower gel etc.

The modernisation has made it a really good hotel but the next phase should be the installation of air conditioning in the bedrooms.

Handy location for concert hall and also close to waterfront for interesting walking. Not far to city centre for restaurants and shops. Room well equipped, clean and comfortable. Full range of choices for breakfast - healthy and well presented in nice dining area.

There was some kind of loud altercation outside the hotel in the middle of the night. Took a while to get back to quiet! Possibly nothing to with the hotel and there is always a risk of something like this happening in a city centre hotel.

Very delicious and varied breakfast. Super friendly staff og welcome.

Room temperature was a bit on the cold side, no possibility for adjusting the temperature. Bad venting in bathroom - floor gets very wet from shower and dries up very slow.

Nice location and I think the hotel will look good after renevation. I liked the online registration and check out and the key code to open the room

Good location, next to the water. Great breakfast. Comfortable beds. Very friendly staff.

Some renovation noise from early in the morning (before 8am). We were not advised of the renovations when booking.

The location because of its proximity to restaurants and shopping centers. The view was also great! out of the hotels we stayed in, this hotel has the friendliest staff.

Good location and friendly staff

Internet not so good & parking expensive (Normal in Denmark)

Location - nereby to centre ant fjordParking available for 110 DKK / day

Beds were excellent, staff was very friendly and welcoming, breakfast was quite nice (except for the coffee...)

rooms were clean but old and lacked comfort, design and any atmosphere whatsoever, actually felt like a dorm room. bathroom was also very clean but old as well and just not a nice place. rooms to the street are really loud - earplugs a must have

nice location, close to the old centre and easy access to be picked up by colleague. Breakfast was good

furniture in room was 'tired', shower room was small

Great breakfastConvenient locationComfortable clean roomVery nice and efficient staff

Close to city center.

Rooms were not ready despite check in after 3 pm. Rooms are shabby and one didn’t get the feeling it was clean. Noise from the street. Chaotic breakfast buffet. Paid parking only. Staff was confused both when checking in and out. Looks better at the pictures than in reality.

Nice hotel to stay for a few days. Very well located. Next to the water and very near to lots of restaurants and bars (5 min on foot). Enough parking places around the hotel but you have to pay for it.

You have to pay for the parking places around the hotel (not too expensive)

Solid furniture, doors and windows so one does not hear much noise

All good

it is a simple sleep place with basic simple rooms. I don't know how it is with view over the water as we had street view. Having a walk on the water side is a must do. Breakfast basic and ok. Business hotel I would say.

Parking is disaster . If you are lucky, which you will possible not be, to find a place at the hotel parking, you will pay for it. Around the hotel and in city parking zero, nothing.. Advised is to come by feet or boat. I was with car and trailer and parked on a Sunday at the opposite University park place. The receptionist warned me that it will result in a 100 euro fine in any case, but somehow I was lucky to not have.

The location is right in the middle of Aalborg at the waterfront and very central. Breakfast was also very delicious and of high standards. Staff in the reception was also quite helpful, professional, and friendly.

I found the pillows to be a bit uncomfortable and the blanket a bit too hot. Also, for some reason, rooms were being cleaned at 16h in the afternoon which was a bit unpractical since I had just got back to the hotel at that time.
