Location and the fact that there was a restaurant and and a bar in a facility.

The gym equipment was dated

TV size and channels offered, TV not being smart TV to run apps like Netflix, carpets on the floor of the room (but that is in most hotels like that when it comes to TV and floors...)

Excellent service, spacious and comfortable rooms. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the old town. Excellent, well-equipped spa, good restaurant with delicious food.

The location is great. We had a room with a magnificent view. The saunas were immaculate. The receptionist was very helpful. The room was clear and convenient. The lobby atmosphere was nice.

The hallway had a strange smell.

It was close to the airport and the old city

It was a little expensive for the rooms

Staff!

I'm enerally not a four or five star kinda guy. The staff, excepting one, but all of the female staff that I encountered were fantastic. I had multiple days reserved but was given a full refund with a smile which amazed me! I'm sure that people that enjoy these hotels would be very happy to stay here. Speaking of which, I found the other guests to rather snobby. I suppose that I don't belong to this crowd and it's not about money, I have ample funds. I prefer to being around folks that, enjoy or by necessity, staying in two and three star hotels. It's my experience that these people are friendlier and easier to strike up conversations. Thanks to the staff of the Falkensteiner Hotel! You rock! P.S....I'm a 72 year old American/Canadian.

Location, food and staff

Good location, staff was great, very helpful, room cleaners were good, breakfast decent.

Couldn't figure out why the place smelled like a kennel until I saw people with dogs. Unfortunately the halls and common areas smelled of dog urine and worse. They would have to rip up the carpets and remodel to get rid of the smell.

The hotel stuff was certainly on another level.They helped us many times and each time they were responsive.Breakfast and spa zone were exceptionally awesome!!!

Some of the furniture parts were not completely clean, but as a whole it looked perfect.

Staff were great. Recommended a wonderful restaurant which we had a great dinner at. Breakfast included in the morning was great. We had our pet with us and had to sit in the bar area, but it was no problem. We loved our stay there thank you.

The breakfast was very nice, with a good selection of fresh options. The hotel is also well located, just about 10–15 minutes from most attractions and amenities.

Unfortunately, the room was quite average. The bed was old and uncomfortable — you could feel the springs through the mattress — and the curtains were not clean. Some of the reception staff were also rather unfriendly. The first room we were given had a strong smell of mold and something unpleasant, as if a pet had been there. We asked to change rooms, and the new one was much better with a lovely view, but it still wasn’t very clean; even the pillowcase had a strange odor.

Hallways a bit outdated and with a funky smell, didn’t give me the best vibe, but room nice and modern. Comfy bed.

Location was great, the view from my room was amazing excellent breakfast, the bar and decorations were beautiful done..

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, comfy beds, clean room, nice sauna, a place to park our bicycles in the garage. We had a really nice stay overall.

No fresh waffles, but otherwise great breakfast anyway ;)The traffic from the big street next to the hotel is pretty loud.

Extremely long waiting time for elevator from the hotel garage. Extremely long waiting time at the reception- Saturday midday only one receptionist. Bathtub at room 614 Executive Double Room (with access to Rooftop Lounge) clogged. Furniture damaged. Very old TV. Very small bed. Old carpet in the room.

Excellent location! Linda at front desk was extremely helpful! Best ever! Clean comfortable room!

Cozy hotel with excellent location, near the old city center and with a stunning view on Bratislava Castle.Hotel provides delicious breakfast.
