Hotel MS Tropicana Costa del Sol

It is literally steps to the boardwalk and beach.

Renting the beach towels has to be done through their sister property. The breakfast is nice but doesn't change and is sometimes not refilled. You can visit their sister restaurant for a dinner option for €25 plus drinks but don't bother. It was not worth the money.

The hotel and it's sister hotel, MS Amaragua were very good.

The cooked breakfast items being cold and having to microwave them.

Location perfect, staff so friendly and helpful .we were upgraded to a room with sea view .

no WiFi in the room at all. we took 3 rooms non of the rooms have complete sea view only partial and the balconies facing the rooms of the next hotel, no trim services and no kettle to prepare your own coffee

Breakfast provided on site was generally OK but only luke warm and needs to be heated using the microwave, even for the coffee. Location on the Carihuela is excellent and provides opportunity to stroll comfortably to shops and catering facilities.

Generally acceptable facilities but could be better. Leaks in the dining area and no courtesy changing room which would assist rather than paying 60euro for a two or three hour late departure fee to stay in the room. Room was well looked after although the sliding balcony door did not lock. Reported on day one but still not fixed on departure (day 5). New umbrellas introduced to provide protection from the sun.

the location is great for the beach.Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.Lovely pool area at the front of the hotel.

The lifts were tiny,the bathroom layout was not the best.Could not get the air conditioning to work.requested a twin room but due to capacity only a double was available.Could not use the balcony as birds nested in the canopy and left deposits on the chair.

Didn't like hotdogs, should never be served at breakfast. Coffee could be hotter from the machine. No iron, or ironing board!! This is a must going forward, guests arrive with jam-packed suitcases,again...a must!

The cut fruits and salad at breakfast were not fresh. Some of the rooms, those in the middle of the building have those roofs made of twists encouraging pigeons and small birds to live there and they did. They did their business on the balcony too. They were flying all over. Honestly, I don’t think the hotel is in the standard of a 4 star hotel. The wifi was not working in the room nor the breakfast room. The only place we could get wifi fi was in the lobby. It is a pity because on the whole, the hotel gives a good impression and just the right size, not too big.

Right next too The beach nice gardens and pool area.Room was good size and nicely decorated lots of storage space.

We were in room 305 the bathroom wasn’t designed properly.the toilet was half under the wash basin made it difficult to sit on. Didn’t like where the shower was situated.The small mirror on pole wouldn’t stop up,kept sliding down Also the toilet wouldn’t flush a few times my Husband had to sort it out.Apart from that it was always clean and the towels were changed often.

Nice clean room with sea view, friendly staff , good location for trips not far from train station,good food selection for breakfast and lots of choices of restaurants, beach on doorstep, had really nice break

Nothing not to like except infestation of ants which was quickly rectified.

Preferred my breakfast in the room where the food was located rather than going into an outer room, I can understand why it has been changed but preferred it as it was.

The hotel was close to the marina and to the bars also close to the golf courses ??

You couldn’t sit on the toilet sea straight cause the sink was in the way and it would of been nice to come down too the bar before we went out
