About

This traditional white building was designed by the cousin of Pablo Picasso and is just 164 feet from the beach. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in reception and free parking. The Hotel Residencia Miami is in the quiet Carihuela district of Torremolinos. Málaga Airport is just 4.3 miles away. Hotel Residencia Miami is the oldest hotel in the Carihuela beach area. It still has much of its original design and charm. The hotel is surrounded by tropical gardens and has a terrace and an outdoor salt-water seasonal pool. Pros +

    • Location
    • The location.
    • The location is excellent, very near the beach, restaurants etc but super quiet. It is a small hotel with loads of charm, very individual. The staff allowed us to leave bags as we had a late flight which was much appreciated. The lovely pool was virtually deserted each time we used it which was nice. The history of the hotel is also fascinating

    Cons -

    • Outdated. Animals are allowed. Difficult to find without a detailed map.
    • Staff sometimes unfriendly.

Beautiful property, parking is appreciated, pool is very nice, staff were very helpful, everything was clean. Beds were very basic but comfortable enough. One black from beach boardwalk was fantastic. Lots of outstanding restaurant choices within walking distance.

The room was very lackluster compared to the rest of the facility. The buildup was great. Made entering the room and outdated bedding a disappointment. Did not match website and confirmation images..

Location and available parking. Bed was very comfortable and room was well air conditioned. I also liked that my dog was welcomed and the extra charge for the dog was very reasonable.

The bathtub was very slippery. These old style tubs are great but need to have hand rails installed. The door also made a very loud noise when opened wide as it drug on the floor after a certain point.

Ideally situated. A five minute walk to the Carihuela beach, the shops and numerous restaurants. This is by far not my first stay in this hotel and I remember mostly the lovely garden and swimming pool.

Old traditional Spanish villa with lots of character, warm greeting from the lady in reception. The property has a small garden and pool and was well cared for,it had a lovely small central courtyard for breakfast. Our small Westie dog was welcomed as well. We only stopped on our way through to meet up with some friends and the hotel was great for a stop off. We would use again if passing through Torremolinos. Free parking in the grounds also.

    Nothing all good

Great location with parking. Friendly reception staff. On site parking with great location 2 minutes walk to promenade. Didn’t have breakfast option so can’t comment.

    Nothing it was good.

That is such a charming hotel! Design and decor is beautiful, especially the reception area and the pool. Staff were lovely and helpful, location was perfect, so close to the beach and restaurants yet in such a peaceful area.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room, but other than that it was all good.

Stayed for one night , it was nice. But make sure to ask for single beds when booking if that's what you are looking for as they won't ask you.

The walls are very thin , you can hear everything.

Beautiful building and comfortable bed. Good shower.

Staff could be a bit more cheerful and we were not told on arrival we needed to pre book breakfast. Only stayed overnight before moving to local main accommodation and was long enough to be honest.

    Clean, good location, friendly staff

Unfortunately only twin room when wanted double. Dated

Unique place with old world charm. Really wonderful house with an amazing fireplace and beautiful artworks. We were met by a very kind and sweet man who saw all our heavy bags and gave us a room on the ground floor. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. We only stayed one night and had to leave early the next day but wished we could have stayed longer.

Could have used a hairdryer. Perhaps a kettle in the room.

The location is great, close to beach, restaurants, pubs, shops. Great pool. Interesting architecture/history. Clean.

Room was smaller than we thought, very basic, not much space for luggage.

Attractive traditional building. Very close to the beach and nice cafes, restaurants and shops. Pleasant, quiet balcony. Some staff were friendly and helpful.

I didn’t realise when I booked the hotel that there was no lift. The woman who checked us in did not suggest any help with us getting our luggage up two flights of stairs. There was only one socket in the bedroom and that had the bedside lamp plugged in to it.

Not the most modern hotel, but it’s a quiet and charming building with very comfortable and clean rooms. The staff are friendly and attentive with cleaning and fresh towels every day. The court yard and pool are very nice. I’d definitely recommend if you want an affordable alternative to a soulless hotel or apartment in the area.
