    Pros +

    • Everything about this hotel is wonderful! Food is excellent
    • Location was ok
    • We love the perfect location, just open the back door and we're walking along the beach, with many restaurants, cafes and shops. We feel like home.

    Cons -

    • The pool could do with a bit of a refurb but still useable safely
    • Hotel didnt have any sunbeds available.because of construction at hotel and didnt informed us.The gym wos very bad.The food at the gala diner was at no standard .
    • We had to pay for parking, 16 euro per night, and the last 2 days we had problem with the parking gate didn't open and because of that we were blocked to go to my kids activity which we already booked and paid in advance, which is canyoning in Benahavis, 1 hour drive away. We didn't trust the parking facility at the last day we stay because we didn't want to risk missing our flight from Sevilla. So we paid fully 6 nights parking $96 but we didn't use the facility completely. It would be great if the hotel can apologize and show some gesture, but no.Second thing is the air conditioner, didn't work at night, we had to open our windows

The location was very good.. close to the beach/ Marina and shops. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and the pools were wonderful.

Even though there was plenty of food and lots of variety, The quality of the food just wasn't quite there. I also have to say the price of food and alcohol and even the price of water was enough to put me off spending any money at the hotel. I will say that overall I found Malaga very expensive for what it offers. So I guess the hotel just follows the same line.

Lovely hotel, great breakfast, rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool area was lovely . Location is excellent, straight onto the promenade. Loved the way it has kept its old charm with photos of Frank Sinatra, Sean Connery, etc and Frankie’s bar.

People leaving their towels on sun loungers was very annoying as we spent a lot of money to stay at this hotel and ended up paying for loungers on the beach everyday. Staff were professional but not very friendly.

Location, hotel has a beautiful clean fresh feel.

    1. Pool closed at 5.00 pm daily even though it was 23 degrees at that time of day and people still in the pool who were vacated. 2. Never had to pay deposit for pool towels especially in a 4* hotel. 3. No shower ( except at pool) to prepare for departure for late flight.

    Disappointing

First, let’s talk about the staff. While the young receptionists and the lady at the restaurant entrance were kind and welcoming, the service staff inside the restaurant treated guests with what I can only describe as “bullet eyes” — at least towards us.For example, while we were still chewing food and had a few bites left on the plate, the waiter just grabbed our plates without even asking if we were finished. The woman serving food at the breakfast buffet was polite, but the lady at the grill in the evening didn’t even bother to return a greeting when we said hello. The hotel itself is very clean, and I have to give them credit for that. But overall, the service attitude was poor.At 8:00 AM, while we were still sleeping (breakfast buffet only starts at 7:30 AM), housekeeping knocked on the door asking if they could clean the room — seriously? Also, whether it’s because of “eco policies” or something else, the bedsheets were not changed during the stay. There was some sand on the bed, and we had to brush it off ourselves; housekeeping just folded the covers back, not replacing anything. When we took extra blankets from the closet, they were without covers. Even after housekeeping saw us using them, they didn’t bother to put on duvet covers — we just had to use the bare inner blanket.(For anyone wondering why we needed a blanket when the room was hot:I personally always need a light blanket to cuddle or cover my legs when sleeping, even if it’s warm.)The toilet paper was single-ply — sorry, but what 4-star hotel still uses single-ply toilet paper? If it’s really about “saving the environment,” then I wonder why I saw food being wasted like crazy. In the morning at breakfast, if the chef cracked an egg but the yolk broke or two eggs accidentally stuck together, she would just tell the customer she’d make a new one — and then throw the “imperfect” egg straight into a black garbage bag.I personally witnessed this twice in one morning.

The location is perfect, nice confort, the staff was great. Also the food was really good.

The pools are not heated, in April that is a little uncomfortable...

Location of hotelJunior Suite viewCleanlinessVictor at reception was excellent

Pool closing at 5.30pm dailyGold Room, limited choice, little variation, no plates , not a space you'd want to spend anytime in, very disappointingEntertainment, much the same thing nightly apart from the night the singer gave up after about 40 minutes and just left. Very lack luster. Some staff at breakfast were verging on rude

    8NicolePosted on: 4-23-2025

    It was all nice

only a few things that let it down. The hotel has a big advert about sustainability, but doesn't have a drinking tap for filling up water bottles. When we asked they said to use the taps in the bathroom, that isn't acceptable. Updates on what is going on in the hotel could be advertised on the television with the other information. The information in the lift isn't updated daily. The drinks in the hotel are very expensive which put us off staying in the hotel of an evening. The umbrellas round the pool are nearly all broken.

Lovely rooms and a wide range of places to sit and relax

The only thing missing was an indoor pool for when the weather was poor.

Our daughter is Autistic and loves quietness scared of television and music...so this hotel suits her needs.bedroom big spacious and jacuzzi is a plus.and location great

Staff were not approcable made us feel very uncomfortable, chef and cleaning staff ,excellent..girl on reception and man on checkout were nice..

    8PamPosted on: 4-12-2025

Liked the “retro” style of the hotel, choice of many comfortable and spacious lounge areas, fresh flowers in central areas. Buffet meals generous and varied.

    8MalcolmPosted on: 4-9-2025

Cleanliness, most staff, location excellent, good breakfast.

One or two staff were surly, but they were a minority, also didn't read small print and no air con until May.
