Pros +
- Hotel was clean and pleasant, staff were helpful, Room had an amazing view.
- Overall, a great hotel in an excellent area. Staff is phenomenal, and makes sure guests are happy. Do not forget to give Angela, the receptionist, a bonus. She goes above and beyond to help guests while staying professional. The cleaning lady was also awesome and very accommodating regarding cleaning hours.
- The elevator to the beach makes this property worth it.
Cons -
- Dinner was unnecessary to include. Many really good, fairly priced restaurants around. Some hotel dinners during some of the nights were simply awful. Saturday dinner was the highlight (lots of seafood), but Friday and Sunday dinners it was so bad. Sometimes, not fresh onion rings, or potatoes not cooked, hard to eat (low-quality meat) and etc. Charging 5.70 euros for a small bottle of water and a glass of wine also seems unnecessary, but this is just my opinion. And, the value of what the property is was a bit too much. After the EUR to USD conversion, the night became $250 per person per night, which is a bit too much for what the property is.
- Hotel feels dated. Rooms need a refresh but I’d stay again.
- Food quality, age and quality of furniture, a/c not strong enough

The only thing 4 star in this hotel is the price
They gave a tiny room on a noisy street, torn curtains, plumbing problems, etc.
The location. Easy access to the beach and town.
The hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment and good maintenance. It's not worthy of a 4-star. Please replace the doors and make them soundproof. When we walked into the room, we had to request the cleaning service as the floor was dusty and dirty.
Excellent location, accessible from lower beach side and upper town side.
Need to add shelves to the cupboard
Breakfast is great and location is awesome
They rent pool towels, food on dinner is not very good and staff is not as friendly as the one in breakfast
The hotel is an older property but with charm and vintage feel. The rooms are fairly basic and comfortable, with large balcony space. The best part was the modern renovated bathrooms and large walk in shower. The pool was nice and the beach was just a short walk away, which made the location ideal. Train station is 5 mins walk with regular service to Malaga (including airport). Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent, with a wide variety of delicious, high-quality options. We ended up choosing to eat at the hotel often because the meals were consistently impressive and good value. The staff were really friendly.
The check-in process was overly complicated and frustrating. Although we had already provided our credit card details through Booking.com, the hotel required us to enter them again via a separate hotel portal. There was no clarity on when or how the card would be charged. Just days before our arrival, we received an alarming message stating that our card was "invalid" and that our reservation might be canceled within 24 hours if not resolved asap. We were traveling from France at the time, and this added unnecessary stress before our stay. In any case, we contracted the hotel and they confirmed it was fine to pay on arrival. Our bed was smaller than expected, a queen rather than a king, but this may be standard in Spain and didn't affect our comfort. However, no separate towels were provided for the pool, so we had to use the ones from our bathroom. The pool area lacked energy, there was no background music, and the pool bar was only open sporadically, which affected the overall atmosphere.
the room was pleasant, very comfortable beds, and nice big fluffy towels.
Unfortunately when I got up in the night there were several cockroaches in the bathroom. I did tell the maid and ask her to spray something , but they appeared again on the second night.
Most things
Amazing hotel, especially because of location and staff members. Two issues here though: 1) room doors are so noisy and kept waking me up 2) the food had an amazing selection, but the quality overall was quite poor
Location was great. Staff were excellent. Buffet food was decent and plenty of choice.
Nothing to note.
Great spot and would definitely come again, it's extremely good value for money with excellent service. The staff bent backwards to help. The location is absolutely lovely, set back slightly from the beach you have a 30s walk to the promenade and beach and the reception floor exits to the main town area with lots of lovely spots for breakfast, shops and bars. The decor is slightly dated but I really liked it, it's a bit of a blast from the past and everything is very functional and surprisingly all in very good condition. The clientele are around 50+ and it's very quiet when we went.
I did have a surprise with the initial room I got, it was a tiny bed in a tiny room paid 20% more for a VERY nice room upgrade.
Hotel was a nice hotel, in very good location for main street and beach level. So you have lots of restaurants and shops nearby, the bedrooms were of a good size and very clean, with a good size bathroom. The hot breakfast was very nice. pool area was nice also.
cereals and juices were disgusting. Also very annoyingly, the hotel tv has only 1 english speaking channel which is surprising that alot of guests using the hotel speak English. Pool is not heated during the summer months, this was very disappointing, as I booked this hotel based on the information supplied on bookings.com that the pool is heated. it was so cold no one got into it which is a waste, also the roof top sunbathing area is fab but the jacuzzi up there was freezing also. very disappointing for a nice hotel.
Exceptionally clean, fantastic staff, everyone says hello ! Location is superb. The bonus is the access to the beach front so you get both the town and the seaside which a quite an uphill walk otherwise !
Location, views and staff. Food is also amazing
Hotel decoration. It’s a beautiful hotel. Staff excellent and food in restaurant was very good.
Not being able to pay by cash
Well overrated hotel, breakfast max 3 stars hotel, no much choice, lift slow and dates, this hotel definitely not 3 stars
RoomCleanliness PoolBREAKFAST EVERYTHING OVERRATED!!!
+ excellent location (close to sea and city centre), many shops and restraints around. From the train station, in 15 minutes you can get to Malaga+ VERY nice and friendly staff. + good dinners+ nice terrace with beautiful view
- I found breakfast quite boring and monotonous. I think this is the problem of many hotels. Dinners are fine but breakfast could be improved. - coffee was quite terrible. It is not the first hotel in Spain that has this problem. Maybe I was lucky enough to be in couple of hotels with good coffee actually, maybe all hotels are trying to save some money on coffee?? - some toilet accessories are not available in the room
The hotel is beautiful and has fantastic lift for those who can walk, to go down to the beach.
The room wasn’t clean. The towels weren’t changed lately, the phone didn’t have any numbers how to contact reception ( the phone didn’t have any note to say what to press to get room service or reception) so I has to call with my uk mobile phone to get answer. I asked for a double room through booking and got twin room. There was no menu in the room or on tv to order food so I went hungry. As a disabled person I could get anyone to help me with my suitcase to take down to checkout . There was no terrace, it was small window looking to the building next door. The fridge hadn’t been defrosted for ages and of course empty. There was a no luggage rack to put suitcase in so I had to bend to the floor to empty it.Also not a single small Maira chair to sit and watch the small tv or a table so if ordering room service to eat on.The was only a desk which the tv was right above it , not really a place to eat.Over all very disappointing as it cost around £150 a night.I wonder if 4 star is a Spanish 4 star as I’ve been to 5 and 4 and they take better care of their customers. So I booked out and spoke to the Manager and told him the issues. He offered me a coffee! Haha not good enough
