    Pros +

    • I liked the view from room, we saw mountian from our room but they put us in the room with view of the road first, but we told them to change because in booking we booked room with mountian view.
    • Great location. It was only a short walk to the train station.
    • 24 hours staffed, so we did not have to worry about arriving late or checking out early.

    Cons -

    • Facility was a litle bit old , the hotel walkways was dark and a little bit scary. Lift closed not proper , we scared to used the lift. No hair dryer. Reception was work from home ,its cool but I preferred normal reception.
    • We had some mechanical noise coming through the wall of our room. FaceTime check in person said it would be resolved momentarily. Then she said we had to wait until 8 for it to stop. At 8:30 we asked for a different room because it was still noisy. Room change went smoothly. I guess you get what you pay for.
    • The staff members were remotely located and were communicating through a video system; lacked the human side of the experience

    Location

Do not like virtual checkin. Carpet was dirty and holes

    9PhilipPosted on: 8-8-2025

The on-line check-in in the lobby was novel, but worked well. The hotel was situated nicely near the train station but above the street with the Thursday Market which was a lovely surprise.

    No complaints.

    Great location.

Basic amenities. Entrance and lobby needs a facelift.Space to store luggage was a utility closet- might be nice to have something a bit better.

Very basic hotel. When I arrived the computer at the reception didn’t work. They told me that there was no breakfast due to works, but the restaurant was open at noon and evening. During the three days I stayed I rarely saw anyone at the reception. They didn’t clean the room on Sunday.

They cancelled on the day of the reservation. They put us in another hotel, but it was further and was a sex motel. Do not recommend it.

    Huge diasappointment

We didn't even stay at Hotel de la Post - it was being renovated, so we got sent to some crummy motel on the outskirts of town. AND they didn't tell us until we phoned when we arrived at the Hotel de la Poste, only to find it in total darkness

    1SuePosted on: 1-13-2025

I was moved to a different hotel and given false information about it.

I did not stay here. I got a message saying it was closed for renovations and they were transferring me to a hotel right beside it. The new hotel was not next door to it, it meant either a taxi ride from the station or a train journey or a twenty minute walk. This was not acceptable when I needed a place close to the station. I booked in at a different hotel instead.

    Bad

We booked by Booking at the De le Poste hotel for 2 nights, when we arrived the hotel was closed and when we called the number affix, they diverted us to another place, a Motel de lo Sports, explaining an accident with in the Hotel, but I must say, neither a call before nor a message nor an email. The Motel was not in the center like the hotel, no one ever came to clean and tidy up the room, ridiculous bathroom ... not as we had chosen !!At the entrance, the receptionist boy to apologize, confirmed that for the inconvenience, we not have paid the tourist tax so it will be their responsibility, then, when we left the room, the girl at the reception remote, forced us to pay the tax.It is not acceptable that a person books in a certain place with certain options chosen and then, without warning, they change everything (much worse)Totally not recommended !!!

    Bra.

It is a big concern to us that you didn’t inform us that the hotel is closed and that you had transferred us to another hotel, Motel de Sports, a venue with less comfort. Luckily we found out the adress to the motel by a person at a nearby restaurant. This is not acceptable and I look forward to some sort of compensation

    Passable

The hotel where we had booked was closed for construction. There had been no upfront communication about it. Only by asking in the shop around the corner we learned that the owner had a second place next to the sports center further away from the town center. We eventually got a room there, which was OK, but still a strange and disappointing experience.Breakfast was served 45min later than what had been communicated.

I don’t like about the property, because I when I arrived all the hotel was empty and breakdown it’s was a big problem with the construction and the property they didn’t let you know and people still booking it for the hotel.

I don’t have a choice to enjoy it.

    9LiuPosted on: 10-6-2024

It’s in the city center, Swiss style. My boyfriend said it never changed since he was ten years old. The sound proof is really good and cute bathroom design

They don’t have a double bed

    8ItshakPosted on: 9-30-2024

The room is clean and was cleaned each day. The beds were large and comfortable.

The location is perfect, in the center. The city of Martigny is very nice and it is easy to arrive from everywhere and to approach everywhere.

    8KerryPosted on: 9-29-2024

A comfortable well located hotel close to the very pretty Martigny city centre. Staff were very helpful and there was no problem changing rooms. A separate garage was available for bicycles. Close to shops and restaurants.

    Can't think of anything.

    1DanielPosted on: 9-9-2024

    Don't stay

Rooms are old and not updated in any way. Sheets and pillowcase had blood on them. Terrible.

    9RachelPosted on: 9-3-2024

Location was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was good size with all relevant facilities.

    Nothing, all good

    4GrayPosted on: 9-2-2024
