Diamond Beach Resort

Large property providing lots of green space, nice pool area, and surrounding seating with sea views were all lovely.Staff were extremely friendly and many spoke English, which was very helpful to us.

The steps up to the upper-level rooms were each very high. No problem if young and fit, but otherwise request a ground floor unit.

Only the staff. That’s all was good about this property . Though they didn’t know much about the local favorites , they helped us in the issues related to the room (that’s coming up )

Other than the staff z… EVERYTHING was sub or lower standards .. to start with 1)the location is in a very shabby area with too much poverty ( and yes that’s sad but they can atleast clean up just outside the hotel . ) also it’s not worth the 45 mins drive from the airport and NOT walkable to the beach.2) The cottage we took showed diff pic than what we saw online . The room has a very very basic (it’s more like a cabin restrooms in jungles) bathroom and toilet in one place .The bed is okay but after a long day of activities it wasn’t great .3)Mosquitoes .. lots and lots of them. 4)there is a basic restaurant on the site provides food and breakfast and that was OK and kind of just whatever .. No good restaurants in the walking distance and all the street food around .. again was kind of shady . It stank kind of crappy on the whole road so you wondered whether to eat or not there.5) this is not a beach front resort . There is no beach to walk . There is pier 10 mins walk .. again shabby and dirty.6)everywhere we went , they had board - Beware of thieves and I know why..

Breakfast was not elaborate, was order from a menu but was very good. The beach was fine at high tide for walking, but not really for swimming. The pool was lovely and had plenty of chairs and umbrellas

At low tide there was a mudflat at the beach. No smells or such but unattractive

Had a wonderful 8 day stay at diamond beach hotel, loved our sea view cabin nestled inside tropical gardens, easy to reach all areas. Staff really helpful and friendly assisted us with any requests from scooter hire to ferry transfers. Beach access in front of property not for swimming but we went swimming at all major beaches. Want to thank the staff for wonderful experience.

Bungalows were basic but comfortable with everything we needed - tea coffee bottle of water provided each day. The bungalows were spacious. Linen changed. Fridge in the room. Had a nice balcony to sit outside. Pool was great and sufficient loungers available. Staff were very helpful and gave us plenty of information. Breakfast was great too when we had it with plenty of choices. There were some cafes and shops on the main road a 10 minute walk away.

We read plenty of the reviews and so didn’t have any surprises for our stay and made sure we talk precautions ie for mosquitoes etc. The beach isn’t great - mud flats but it is close to the ferry to Railay Beach which is nice. We were out very day so it didn’t matter. We did have difficulty with internet and it took several days of complaining for it to be sorted which was an inconvenience but understand it happens.

Stayed in one of the bungalows with a sea view. Loved it. Excellent value for money and the pool is really nice. No beach but the sea views are great.Close to the docks to get a boat to Railay beach.

Spacious room

The location - a bit in the middle of nowhere (if you have a car/scooter it’s better). In the nature, you will see and hear lots of insects.

The resort is located in a quiet area, but close enough from Ao Nang (by tuk tuk 10 minutes) or Railay by long tail boat 7min walking to the pier. I recommend the cabanas. The pool was great overlooking the beach. Can’t swim at this beach unfortunately. They provide toilet paper and water every day as well as towels. You can have breakfast in their restaurant or just make yourself a coffee in your room. There are also a few local restaurants down the road really good. They don’t do laundry but you can do it across the road. They also sell boat tours at the reception. The ladies at the reception were very nice and friendly and very helpful, especially Noi she is very sweet. We loved our stay here!

The pool location over lookingthe sea was great for relaxing. At one point this was probably a 5 star resort, but now its run down everything needs a refurbishment.

The location to Ao Nang beach was about 6km away and there was no night life around the location

The property is quiet but rustic with a nice pool. Breakfast was fantastic and inexpensive. Short taxi ride to Ao Nang, walkable to a few restaurants and the pier.

It would have been nice if the restaurant was open for dinner too. The bed was not the most comfortable.

Characterful. Lovely pool area, nice staff, quiet area, good links by boat to beaches, 2 piers within 5 mins walk. Onsite staff very helpful with booking transport and tours

Some repairs needed, aircon and fridge noises, showing their age. Would have benefitted with bar area and onsite drinks.

Beautiful grounds and pool. The bungalow was nice. Very dark, but very clean.

If you don't have transport your really stuck. Nearest restaurant is 1.3 kilometers away. Hotel has no bar or restaurant, but does serve breakfast at an extra cost. so you will need a taxi to go anywhere.

Good location. Staff were great and very friendly. Beds were comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay despite wanting to find somewhere else on arrival.

The room we were initially allocated were not great. We booked 2 superior rooms and they smelt damp and musty and the bathrooms had mold. We moved to new rooms which were much better. The beach could not be used and was full of litter. Not like the pics.

The staff were nice to us.

Packs of wild dogs in the ground, the beach was a smelly mangrove, the room had a live cat in it. There were millipedes walking across the bed. The decor was vile and the area was very dingy and ugly.

Walkable to restaurants and the main beach, quiet, and relaxing.

Pool was over chlorinated and needed some major attention.

The staff were very helpful especially reception staff. Rooms were quite basic but very clean. Good choice of breakfast.

Nowhere to have lunch or dinner so had to leave the complex to eat or drink. Would have been good to have a small restaurant or bar on site.

Such a beautiful view of the mountains from hotel room terrace!It's really quiet environment so come here if you need to relax from the crowds.Helpful staff.

There's really nothing in the area if you need action. You can swim if you walk more further along the beach.

Nice pool. They had breakfast available and smal store in the reception. The staff was very friendly and polite. They helped us with everything. They also have laundry service

The pool was ok. The tours out of that town are cheaper then other places I have been. They were the same places like four island and James Bond but cheaper to take from there.

Had to leave early from this stay. Dog baring around the property was over the top. The rooms and the doors to the room do not keep out sound from the next room or on the balcony. I left early and lost my money and then had to pay for another room somewhere else. The beach there is not that great when tide is out no beach at all. The town nearby doesn't have much.
