My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel d'Aragon, on just about every level. The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuine. Our room was cozy and had a distinct non-corporate feel...a real place. The breakfast was quite good, with the offerings and service top-notch and the price quite fair. We felt cared for.

The staff at this hotel were excellent, so helpful in every way. The location was perfect, easy access to the old town, breakfast was very good and most of all room was a good size with a very comfortable bed. Highly recommend and would stay again if I visit Montpellier.

Wonderful hotel, very comfortable and local to everything. ALL the staff were amazing and helpful, showing what was where and detailed information of how to get about. There politeness and willingness made our stay that much better!

Very warm welcome on the day of arrival, nice room and very good breakfast.

I would like to refer to Gordon's comment from 30 September which is absolutely wrong and has no foundation whatsoever.

    8EdwardPosted on: 10-4-2025

The King room on floor 1 was great. Excellent staff in reception too.

Nothing major. Some of the rooms may need a touch up.

    Friendly staff at reception

It was in need of refurbishment, it was tired and very unpleasant. The room we were allocated had a smell of cleaning product and heavily scented air freshener which was obviously to mask the fact that the room was not clean. The perfume smell appeared to be coming through the ventilation system! There is mention in the hotel description of good soundproofing but noise could be heard echoing throughout the building and also noise was loud from the street due to no double glazing and poorly fitted windows. We were extremely surprised as reviews on booking.com were very good, so much so that I do not trust that they were real!

Even before I arrived, Benjamin and Julie answered all my questions promptly and I was given a room upgrade. This kindness and helpfulness continued during my three night stay. My room was clean, comfortable and well provisioned. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with many options. Throughly recommend this hotel in a quiet area off a very busy plaza.

Great staff. Large, comfortable room (king size bed!) and bath. Nice breakfast (loved the mini-crepes and soft-boiled eggs!)

No elevator, but that’s to be expected in an old building.

Cute little Hotel with a very personal touch. Everything was super clean, breakfast was good aswell, and the personnel is adorable. If i didn't think the beds were super comfortable, then that is more linked to the fact that i prefer very hard beds and this one was rather soft.

This is a general problem in France, the gluten-free offer is usually not fantastic, but the hotel was still very accomodating with this.

    9YvonnePosted on: 9-2-2025

The location was perfect, very close to the Place de la Comedie from where most routes started. The staff were excellent - friendly and helpful.

What an amazing staff! So helpful and welcoming! We adored the location. It is off the main square down a side street and very quiet. And the room was large and attractive! The bed was very comfy. The pillows too. This town had streetcars down the street that took us everywhere. The Place de la Comedie is definitely the place to be near! It is central and you can get anywhere on this adorable streetcar.Their are free performances on the squareat night.

It was extremely hot in August! I think the whole south had a heat wave. They had wonderful restaurants and it was extremely easy and pleasant to travel in those cute streetcars!
