Hotel Ulysse Montpellier Centre

It’s okay but nothing overwhelmingly...

In mid winter the room was very cold. The tile floor made it all the more so. Granted, it was an unusually cold winter but still…

We didn’t like too much about the hotel except that we had a balcony attached to our room and there was a roof top patio we could use.

The hotel is further from city center than anticipated and it is far older than the pictures make you believe. One staff member was extremely rude to one of us and the wifi didn’t work. When we addressed the WiFi issue with the front desk staff we were told that WiFi is working properly everywhere, which was not true, it only works around the reception area and on the lower stages. Second time the lady was nice enough to offer us a room on a lower floor. Breakfast was very limited but ok. We would never stay at this hotel again.

It was clean, comfortable, and well-located, in a quiet street within walking distance of the bustling centre of Montpellier.The staff were very helpful and gave us good tips about where to go and what to see. The breakfast was varied and tasty. As we had a train to catch early in the morning, they arranged for a taxi to come and pick us up.

There was nothing that we didn’t like.

Clean and well located.

Some noise was audible from other rooms/the hallway etc, but this wasn’t too bad.

Good location for tram stops into the ld parts of Montpellier. Liked the wine and beer available.

The location is excellent, the staff is friendly and available. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, they have a nice rooftop with a great terracce.

Clean and comfortable hotel with excellent wifi and secure private parking. Quiet and strategically placed for the centre of Montpellier.

Breakfast was a bit limited in terms of choice and bread and croissants had run out when I arrived, but these were replenished.

Location, friendly staff, breakfast, parking was a plus

Bathroom was disappointing, small and toilet flush broke and sink plug stuck, couldn't use plug in sink but they did fix the toiletOutside on our patio chairs were broken and extremely uncomfortable, no cushions provided. The air-conditioning was extremely noisy so couldn't leave on at night

Quiet location, secure parking available but only 20 minutes walk from the Place Comedie. Large comfortable room with a safe and a fridge. Air conditioning with the heat wave was very welcome. The staff were very friendly and gave us good recommendations as to where to eat in Montpellier. Also convenient for the Clinique du Parc.

Very spacious and safe underground. Worth the money. Although the light above our shower didn’t work it didn’t distract from the stay.

Peaceful hotel with an almost "in the country" feel right in the centre of Montpellier. Good underground parking, even for large vehicles. Friendly, down-to-earth welcome and excellent breakfast. (Very reasonable price) Impressive rooftop terrace. Perhaps not the most modern of establishments, but that is what gives it its friendly, familiar atmosphere.

Location a but suburban but not too far from a tram stop.

Super nice staff. We wanted to drop off our bikes and luggage before check in time, but they let us check in early. Rooms are great, with free water, ac and a coffee machine.The center is a 20 minute walk away, which was bot an issue for us.Breakfast was good.

The room is not soundproof, one could hear the people in neighbouring rooms coming and going quite clearly.

It suited our group very well, we had to leave at 4am for an early flight. The staff were very helpful with everything we asked about and helped arrange taxis etc they were wonderful.

10 min walk to the city center, good room, very clean.

The bed and pillows were not comfortable… Maybe they have better pillows at the reception but we did not ask.
