Pros +
- The room was large and comfortable. Each member of the staff was over the top accommodating, genuine and gracious. I thought the location was easy to get to the historic area. And the Marché was terrific outside the front door!
- Location and personnel, room was clean, bed was hard and pillows were not comfortable for me due to bad neck. Overall a good stay and within walking distance to sights.
- Beautiful area under the aquaduct. There is a wonderful bistro nearby and also the Arceaux Market. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They helped me with my French. Beautiful garden in the back.
Cons -
- The entry stairs were a bit hard to navigate for someone who has mobility issues.
- Mattress and pillows
- Breakfast was rather meager, and the parking garage was a couple of blocks away and strange to get in and out of, as well as a tight exit turn. It was still possible to load and unload in front of the hotel though.

Such a lovely stay. A perfect mix of modern and historic. Staff is so nice and helpful. Breakfast in the courtyard was sublime, they gave us a perfect start to the day. Location couldnt be any better too. Hope to be back here some day.
The staff is very friendly, very good breakfast and good location (a few minutes on foot from city centre)
We were only here for one night, but we got to see a lot of downtown Montpellier, as they held our bags and we were allowed to get our car later in the day. Room turned out to be much nicer than what you might expect after looking at the entrance. It has a historical vibe inside the hotel.Hotel is close to the downtown attractions like the cathedral and the botanical garden. There is also an aqueduct that goes down the length of the street that the hotel is on.

We asked for two cups of hot water because it was not in the room and they brought us a tray with tea kettles, mugs, saucers and spoons! Very chic.
They have a large terrace in the back which is advertised as open 7am-11pm, however when we asked if we could eat our own food, the staff said it wasn’t allowed. I understand that they serve breakfast and light dinner, but I do not agree with this rule that the terrace is only for eating food bought from the hotel. It doesn’t make sense and it seems unfair.
The pedestrian area is being renovated, but is historic and is at the very beginning of the entrance to the old town at evening time our particular street is not that lively there are a couple of bistros scattered. My guess is once the pedestrian area is completely planted up and renovated. It’ll be very lively and charming. However, the market is three times a week and it is very lively with stalls, of fruit, pastries, bread, fish meats, etc. it’s quite charming. You do have to walk to actually get into the old town, but I like that so that late at night you weren’t hearing the noise of the tourists or the restaurants. We had a car so I like that. We didn’t have to park way far away to get in and out of Montpelier as we went to visit other towns. So for us being right outside the historic center really worked. The hotel if you book ahead has really reasonable priced parking and that makes a big difference. Their breakfast is good pretty standard to what we usually get and you have to book ahead because they don’t do big wasteful buffets but rather have you order what you want ahead which I think is fantastic. There is a very sweet garden outside the little café area in the hotel. This hotel is priced very very well and though the rooms are small, it is a tremendous value. The staff is warm and friendly and eager to accommodate .
My one tiny pet peeve was the hairdryer wasn’t very powerful. It’s a tiny thing in the big picture. There is no elevator which they are very clear about but the hotel is only three stories so it’s not that big of a deal
Hotel is a gem; close to down town, clean, classic look outside and modern on the inside. Strong AC. Super nice people !! Great breakfast. Love the orange-tiled bathroom and water sheet faucet. Don‘t miss out on the week-end market right in front of the hotel.
Staff are very helpful, we were asked several times if we had any problems with parking and informed us we couldn't park on street on Tuesday as there is the local market. Location is great near to centre and they have a beautiful garden where you can have your breakfast. Rooms are clean and functional with a mini bar., rooms are on the small size but that didn't bother us.
We were on the second floor without an elevator, stairs are quite steep so that is to bear in mind if anybody has knee problems!
Staff was amazingly accommodating. Had a late train that had me arriving past the hours of operation for the front desk and they were able to get me in to my room still. The room was very comfortable as well.
Excellent room, helpful staff, good location and good value
One minor criticism; the Wifi was erratic
Everything. Was really nice and the ladies were sooo kind! Good location! Parking. Amazing breakfast.
No lift. But that is not a must. The lady helped me with the luggage. :)
Clean, friendly staff
No elevator
the design, the garden , the sunday market in front
No issue
We received a very friendly welcome from the receptionist and a clear explanation about where to find the secure parking, which is about a 3 minute walk from the hotel. It's close to a couple of nearby restaurants and bars and the view of the viaduct is pretty impressive. I didn't want breakfast, but the morning staff were flexible to let me buy just a coffee and take that back to my room, as I had to work. It looks as though the terrace could be nice, but I didn't use it.
I have to say that the hotel is feels a little more shabby than the photos indicate. The reception area feels a bit like a hostel - strange built in old-looking furniture and the carpet was quite worn (although the stair ways and carpet there seemed in good repair). The front the door was locked despite it being early evening and the receptionist being there. The parking building is close by and seems secure but feels rather creepy and to be honest, I'm glad I wasn't on my own! The room was sweet, with nice decor and being an old building, I was expecting it to be small - but once again, some of the furniture was scuffed and looked like it could do with a refresh.
Breakfast was so complete. The attendees were so kind.
We traveled with a motorcycle, and parked in front of the hotel. During the night someone tried to steal it, mainly damaging the blinkers, some chassis parts, mirrors and direction. So next time we are traveling to France, we will be paying for parking the motorcycle. It's not the hotel's fault itself, it's located in a not that secure area.
Poor
Bathroom small, only warm water, noise next door rooms...
I stayed at the hotel for two weeks, and it was a great experience! Very nice staff, beautiful location, and clean rooms. Highly recommend!
The wifi was a bit weak, for the rest it was a nice stay!
Exceptional staff, the lady at the reception in evening is always trying to help and advise. Great location.Tasty breakfast.Comfortable bed.
Thanks so much to the staff with special mention to the lady at the reception
