A beautiful building and comfortable rooms
We didn’t know ahead of time that it was in a restricted traffic zone
Staff was very accommodating, room was clean and spacious, and amenities were generous.
Great breakfast. Helpful staf.
I wouldn’t even say it was something I didn’t like, but I would have liked it more if there had been a small fridg in the room.
Location and easy to find
Receptionist tried to scam us when we were checking in by first trying to charge us an extra 80 euro city charges even though it said taxes and charges were included in the price. We later learned that even if city tax wasn’t included it should have been just 3.50 euro a night. Also not really up to four star standard. The room was more like a budget hotel room. Even though it’s one of the most expensive places in the city to stay
Really fantastic location. Lovely clean hotel. Modern vibe in a traditional French way!
The bathroom could have been stocked better. For example I used the cotton wool and they just left the half empty packet the whole time we were there.
We had a comfortable and spacious room, and the location is excellent—right in the center of town. The staff were very kind and helpful. We would especially like to thank Quentin, who provided invaluable help guiding our car into the garage. It would have been almost impossible without his kind assistance.
Only paper cups. WIFI was not good, however the staff very kindly offered us the solution. Thermostat has a problem.
Clean good location
Expensive to stay
A splendid Victorian-era hotel in the heart of the city. Very close to both the station and Place De La Concorde. Lovely room, with a very comfortable bed. Really nice and helpful staff, too.
They need to get their act together regarding access to the hotel area with a car. Sitting and waiting in a vehicle with multiple cars behind you trying to get into the restricted area is not pleasant. They need to streamline the process. The same goes for trying to leave the restricted area after checkout.
I don’t recommend not even...
The parking place is basically impossible to be found you cannot follow the maps and find it easily all the streets are blocked in that area which makes it very difficult. You need to pay a public parking lot if you want to stay at this hotel.
The room was located on the fourth floor, looking to the interior space (garden, pool). It was very quiet, very good sound proofing. The bed was comfortable, a bit on the firm side, and I was given an extra duvet. So it became very comfortable. The room is modern, held in warm colours, whereas the building is historical. Breakfast was in a beautiful large room with high ceilings, stucco and a winter garden with large windows looking onto palm trees. The breakfast range was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place.
Everything was excellent. I was a bit surprised about the little packages of salt and pepper that were provided on the breakfast buffet, instead of salt and pepper shakers which the staff put on the tables anyway later for lunch or dinner. Also, for a four star hotel, I found it strange that there were only paper cups in the room instead of real cups and glasses.I would have liked a little bar fridge.
This is a beautiful hotel, excellent breakfast and location. Super kind staff. Will always come back when in Montpellier!
Location was great, close to the city and the station. Pool was lovely to have especially due to the heat wave. Terrace lunch options were nice and tasty.
Unfortunately the hotel had a severe issue with hot water during our stay meaning hotel guests did not have access to any heated water for over 24 hours. Due to timings this didn’t hugely impact our own stay, but you can imagine this was problematic for lots of guests especially during a 40 degree heatwave. The staff were clearly working hard to fix the issue, but updates were limited to a single sentence note in the lift. Pool was lovely but needs some TLC - one lamp light kept falling off leaving sharp edges and fixtures on the bottom of the pool.
Great location just off Place de la Comédie. Very convenient to public transportation. Very friendly and competent staff. Large rooms with excellent showers and good bedding. Excellent coffee maker and coffee in the rooms. Very attractive bar and garden with comfortable outdoor seating.
The rooms were large but sparsely furnished. The armchairs provided were not really comfortable after a long day's walking. The mattresses were a bit too firm for my wife and me but that's a personal taste. The hotel bar and garden were very nice touches but featured hotel bar prices. Ten euros for a tomato juice seemed excessive.
location and staff helpfulness
less ccostly breakfast
Spacious room in an elegant building.
The pool is a nice perk, but our visit was essentially after the season - it was not in the best condition.
