Paid on line using Booking.comFor the first time ever had to pay the full cost upon checking out as the amt paid and taken by Booking.com didn’t actually get taken by the hotel. The hotel makes a second payment telling me the amt paid on line in advance will be refunded the following day. Strange. First time for this experience. Booked hotel rooms on line for years, this hadn’t happened previously.The food in the hotel restaurant was inedible. I didn’t eat it. I’ve stayed here several times before, similar experience. Hoped it had improved. Not the case. Actually found the dinner worse than last year and in my previous stays here. Will make sure to eat elsewhere next time.

It is near old town tourist spots are nearby, there is grocery market on ground floor

The hotel doesn't have free parking, I specifically booked this by filtering the hotels that provide parking. Hotel entry is not easy to find from the as the lobby is on -1 and there is a small entrance near Carrefour for which you have to walk around for some time to identify

Location is great.

There was no mattress in the bed, just a thick quilt on the sofa bed material. The quilt deflated after a while ?

The staff is great. A Special thanks to Paola in reception. Paola was helping us from the first minute with the room, showing us the best places to visit in the city and always big a big smile.

Location was perfect in the center of Montpellier.

As we had booked a family room.would have been nice if the 2nd bed was made when we arrived instead of having to make it ourselves late in the evening.

I would have liked a gin and tonic on Saturday evening but was told only beer was available

The location of the hotel was perfect.

Security. We had someone come into our room at 12 30 am after many attempts to open the internal door. We shouted when they finally gained access and they closed the door. We called the front desk, they came up and relocked the door (the person - a man) who was in the adjoining room had found a way to unlock it. We were not offered an alternative room and barely slept due to being worried about our safety.

The receptionist who was on duty when I arrived, but especially when I left a rucksack behind on leaving for the airport on Sunday morning, was extremely kind and helpful. Please thank her.Excellent breakfast with friendly staff in pleasant surroundings.

The location was perfect in terms of vicinity to the city centre.Parking is available, which is useful.

Building looks dated.Facilities in and around the hotel needs updating/ refreshening.Bathroom facilities in the rooms were very old, tired and not very clean.Windows absolutely filthy and it opens fully on the 5th floor- unsecured!Why rent/let these rooms families with children?Floors laminated with vinyl tiles which gives a very cheap feel.

Access to underground parking by car is convoluted, but not the fault of IBIS.Breakfast is cheap quality, as expected.

The room had an unpleasant smell due to the sewage, and the flooring was warped. The furniture and bathroom were outdated, and the sofa mattress had stains. Additionally, the glasses in the bathroom were dirty. Although I only stayed for one night, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a longer stay. The room was overpriced for what it offered.
