    Pros +

    • Location
    • Beautiful lobby, great location. Amazing marble, brass finishings in the lobby.
    • Location and staff.

    Cons -

    • We were charged 3 euros for ice to fill our water bottles. Also we were told we could not check in until 3:00 despite getting there at 2:55. The desk person told us and others waiting to come back in 5 minutes.
    • Beds were uncomfortable and floors were dusty/dirty. We ended up there on a celebration night on a low floor so it was loud.
    • It is not a 5 stars but I guess expected for the price. Just thought it would have been more than a 3 stars one. It is an old hotel with noise coming from the WC every time you flush, the heater etc..A 5 starts (or even 4) do not serve you mayonnaise or ketchup in little plastic bags with your meals like in a Mc Donald, the pillows should be better etc...but the staff is nice so is the location and the place itself, in a art deco style has a certain old "caché" Must have been a nice hotel 50-70 years ago. You get what you pay for and I guess it is decent for what they charge but don t expect too much.

What a gem! This hotel is a throwback of glam without breaking your card. Beautifully kept and hope it stays that way! Un lugar maravilloso!

Stature, spotless, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast! Loved the old style comfort in the hallways, rooms, and let me add the posh shower/tub!Most of all, very close to town with ample cafes and restaurants!

STart with the staff. I made a mistake and arrived a day before scheduled. No problem, the receptionist immediately said. We often see such errors. He changed my date without penalty. The hotel itself is well modernized, with a lot of charm - and well located, just outside the historic medieval center. Salamanca is great and this hotel is great, too.

The charges for parking, EUR17, were a bit high and the garage is tight.

    9ZingalePosted on: 10-25-2025

The hotel was old world in style and decor. The rooms and bathrooms were beautiful, although a bit dated. The staff was exceptionally helpful and the underground parking garage with indoor access to the hotel was a plus, as we were traveling by car. The location was excellent and a convenient and safe walk to the Plaza Mayor and other sites. The price paid through Booking.com was very reasonable for the value received. Breakfast had ample choices in a relaxed and comfortable dining room.

Really amazing Staff. Helpful and supporting in each question. We had dinner at the rooftop and the employees were very attentive. In addition they always had a nice word for the children.

It is a great hotel, if I should say something to improve it might be some furniture could be changed, but I really would go back as this gives the hotel the right charisma.

The hotel was very nice! It was comfortable too. Less than a mile from major sites. The terrace bar has great views and drinks!

A beautifully run family 5 star hotel in the heart of Salamanca. From the moment you walk through the revolving doors each staff member warmly greets you. No matter what you ask any staff member they are all so very helpful. Seventh floor bar and restaurant welcomes you to the heights of beautiful Salamanca where you get gorgeous cocktails and scrumptious food. Highly recommend you to stay here.

Maybe coffee/tea available in the room

The hotel is very well positioned in the centre of Salamanca, not far from the cathedral. Very good restaurant on top floor with view of the city. The concierge put our car in the underground parking. Beautiful hotel. We will go back.

Very clean, classic decor, well ran and maintained. Breakfast was fabulous, all one could want variety of choices.

    9MelissaPosted on: 8-14-2025

The room was large, lovely bath room, good location.

An extra blanket in the room would have been useful as there was only a sheet provided. The pool was small (pics made it look bigger)

very nice and comfortable room, good location. Efficient parking and check-in process.

room should have had tea/coffee making facilities with complimentary water

    9GerhardPosted on: 7-15-2025

Nice classic Grand Hotel Style Hotel near old town; spacious room, temperature was comfortable; so were the beds. Rooftop Restaurant was very good. Nice Winelist with local wines. Wide variety at breakfast. Parking was easy. Friendly and calm discrete service.

Would have to think hard; we extended our stay, if that is telling…

    8Marie-ClaudePosted on: 7-1-2025

    Quality, luxurious older Spanish decor

Emergency exit Light over the door was too bright and kept us awake. Pool was closed.

Everything, glorious classic "old school" Spanish hotel in the heart of the city (10-15min walk from Plaza Mayor), beautifully finished with marble, brass, glazing, chandeliers, reception looks like it should be on the Titanic! Rooms and corridor floors all hardwood parquet (impossible not to squeak when walking), impressive bar, astonishing breakfast choice, A/C, free WiFi that worked well. Secure underground carpark with lift access to all floors. Good value for it's location, will definitely come again when in Salamanca, stayed one night in June, wish it had been longer.

    Nothing, faultless experience.

Location, secure underground parking for motorcycle, comfy beds

    Tiny pool on roof

    8TiagoPosted on: 6-14-2025

Location is great. Within a short walk from many tourist sites, restaurants, markets, cafes, metro and laundry.

The cleaning is awful. There was hair in many places in the bathroom. The bed is small, how was described, but the mattress was very simple, like a old road hotel. The room is very small, but this was in the description of the room. Maybe stay a little far from the center is a good idea, if you can walk, take a ride or the metro to visit the sites, and will get a better room for the same price.
