Set amid large gardens and featuring a sun terrace with views of the Jungfrau mountain range. All the rooms with attached bathroom feature mountain views. Guests can relax in the lounge and the bar area or in the garden jacuzzi. There is a car park and the bus and train stations and the shopping area are only a 3-minute walk away from the Alpenrose. The property has no elevator, only stairs to the floors.

Pros +

The location was good,a 5 min. walk to the train station, which took you into Interlaken in 4 min. We received city passes which gave us free transportation on all local buses and trains. The hotel had a beautiful garden and good breakfast.

Staff was great. She provided information of the region. They provided a pass we can use on the bus and train. Its a pass from the tourist region love it. Train station was 1 minute from the hotel.

Cons -

There was no air conditioning and we had a serious heat wave. The carpets were really tired- and somewhat dirty-looking. Some rooms had vinyl flooring or hardwood instead, which we would have preferred. It was tough carrying luggage up the stairs.
Everything and staff was just fantastic..
In an area that was unexceptional for Switzerland. No charm, just dairy farms and barnyard smells.
