Hotel Wildbach Brienz - Self Check-in

Tv not going. Heating not going, mix up in booking, staff only spoke broken German,

The property is immediately on the water and is an amazing view to wake up to! The lake is breathtaking.

The property is bare bones with nothing additional. Be prepared that checking in after hours is complex and requires someone to waking up to help you. They are helpful, but it took a little bit longer than anticipated.

Friendly staff and great breakfast

Accommodation a bit basic but main negative is that the inn is right next to a noisy main line railway.

Staff was very friendly. View from restaurant to the lake. Plenty of parking place. mattress was very good. Breakfast was very good.

The hotel is not directly at the lake, but a road is between. And behind the hotel there is a railway. It's not a quite place. One of the louvers was broken and not nicely fixed. Obviously there was a water damage in the bathroom so the door could be closed only with brute force and the carpet was affected also. The outdoor facility is not new, looks not properly maintained.

Rustic character right across from the lake. There’s a rocky entry to the lake and a boat dock as well as a way to rent paddle boards. The view is stunning.

It was a long walk from the main train station35 minutes which is a lot if you’re carrying bags. A taxi was 25 francs. Theres no air conditioning but fans were provided.

The facility itself was just slightly above average, but the view of the lake and surrounding Mountains was spectacular. The breakfast area overlook the lake. Superior cappuccino. Easy check in. Strict about the check in check out times. Free parking. As an aside, Binos Pizzaria in Brienze had one of the best margarita pizza we ever ate…..will think of it for a long time. I would stay there again.

Dated and slippery shower area.

The staff is very friendly. The location is just superb if you have the view to the lake. Breakfast is very good with fresh fruit and the staff prepares it for you so that it's warm. Having breakfast with the lake view was incredible.

Excellent hotel, very comfortable and cozy, the staff was too attentive with us and attended to all our needs, the hotel is very clean and the room is comfortable and had heating since we went in the cold season, the breakfast is very good too, I would definitely return and I highly recommend staying here. By the way, the view of Lake Brienz is incredible

Love all of it. It was little but far from train station but the walk itself is already a vacation. The view was incredible and would absolutely recommend it. Thank you for the best stay!!!

Nothing bad for this hotel

Lovely hosts, room was spacious and well-laid out, bed was very comfortable, bathroom water pressure was great.We had dinner in the hotel one night and it was phenomenal!

Air freshener spray for the property affected my asthma - not a massive issue but worth noting!

The view of Brienz lake from the restaurant terras is wonderful.

The nearest public transportation (bus) stop is 1.5 kilometers from the hotel (about 25 minutes walk).

Location, friendly host.

Room was too small for 4 people but I guess it was the price we paid. Restaurant was closed due to off season I guess.

Good

The hotel should have told us about the big recent Brienz landslide and the highway closures. We had to walk in the dark 1.5 km on a busy road with no shoulders to get to the hotel from the nearest bus stop since the railway was disrupted, and it was quite dangerous. It will be fine when the construction is over, but until then is a bit isolated from the rest of Brienz.

Like the balcony and the late view from there. The food there is also quite good, including Chinese food. The hotel owners are very nice and friendly. Easy 20-30mins walk to the Brienz West station if you are a walker and enjoy walking along the lake. Even better if u drive.

Amazing breakfast buffet with eggs. My last hotel offered no eggs and I was happy they had them here. Easy to find location and extremely clean everywhere.

Staff was hard to find but I eventually did and getting outside plus room keys was s breeze.

The hotel is good as well as the breakfast.

The price was a bit high. The room is missing a refrigerator which I believe is essential.

The hotel was incredible in every aspect. Great service, incredible breathtaking view and excellent food. Lisa, the owner, was extremely welcoming and makes you feel right at home. I strongly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
