Charming historic hotel that?s solidly built and well-kept. Great amenities and a super comfy bed ? perfect for a restful night after traveling.
Fireplace in my room. Really nice amenity. The refrigerator had a small freezer which i need for medication. Most hotels these days have a refrigerator but very few actually have a freezer.

The staff was great and the game/activity room was nice. Though some things were missing like the ball for the foosball table and the air hockey wouldn’t turn on. But everything else worked and was great.
It was so nice and clean and everything worked, and the staff went out of their way to provide an extra special continental breakfast.
The jacuzzi tub in my room and good pillows. Great value fr the price overall.

The location is all it has going for it….we didn’t even get the room that was advertised as a jacuzzi tub room because when we arrived and had already paid online, the guy said they haven’t had a jacuzzi room in over 3 years! Very disappointed!
Great location. Newly renovated. Clean room except for floors.

The shower lol
I originally went for the indoor and outdoor pools, which, although far from regulation length, are longer than those of most hotels. This trip, I especially liked that the outdoor pool was still open in mid-October.

Convenient to a conference I was attending. I was lucky to get a room.
The room was great. It?s located not far from Ft. Carson. The outside doesn?t look like the inside. So I was a bit apprehensive at first. But once inside it?s beautiful. Hotel employee and staff was amazing and helpful.

Top Tips
- Book Manitou Springs hotels at least 8 to 12 weeks in advance for summer (June-August) to avoid 20-30% price increases. This is especially true around peak events like the Labor Day Lift Off; confirm festival dates when planning. Booking early also helps secure your preferred hotel or amenity.
- Plan outdoor activities, including Pikes Peak and the Incline, for mornings in summer, as afternoon thunderstorms and lightning risk increase after midday and can close trails. Hotel staff can assist with real-time weather updates and trail openings.
- Pikes Peak Railway and Highway access is limited by seasonal schedules and daily capacity. Reserve tickets several weeks in advance, and double-check operational hours with your concierge or directly on the provider’s website.
- The central hotel district in Manitou Springs is compact with steep terrain. Request accessible or step-free rooms when booking if mobility is a priority, and confirm if elevators or ramp access are available, especially in historic properties.
- Bring a refillable bottle to enjoy tasting from the city’s mineral springs at marked public taps. To ensure safety, only use labeled spring fountains and avoid unmarked water sources. Some hotels provide mineral water stations as a guest amenity; ask at check-in.
- Soundproofing in older hotels downtown is limited. Reduce street noise by requesting a courtyard-facing or upper-floor room away from Manitou Avenue when reserving. Consider packing earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
- Manitou Springs sits at about 6,400 feet elevation. Adjust to altitude by hydrating and resting for 24 to 48 hours before strenuous activity; this is especially important for guests over 60 or with heart or lung conditions. Most hotels provide complimentary bottled water in guest rooms; verify availability when you check in.
- Downtown parking is limited. Verify in advance if your hotel offers on-property parking, public lot access, or street options. Clarify daily fees or reservation requirements to avoid unexpected charges.
- Expect 10-12% state and city lodging taxes, which add $15 to $25 per night to a $150 room. Use city-authorized platforms or book directly with the hotel chain for transparent pricing and a full invoice breakdown at checkout.
- Most hotels provide Wi-Fi speeds of 30-50 Mbps, but service may slow during thunderstorms from May to September. Guests who rely on video calls or uploads should confirm current speeds with hotel staff upon check-in.
- Avoid tourist ATM fees and Dynamic Currency Conversion (2-3%) by withdrawing cash at local branches like Wells Fargo. Debit cards are widely accepted at hotels and restaurants; notify your bank before international travel.
- Short power outages (1 to 2 hours) may occur during winter snowstorms (December-February). Choose hotels with backup generators for consistent heat, elevator, and Wi-Fi access; ask when booking or check the hotel’s amenities list.
