Very large room with amazing view of the mountains. The hotel and our room were very clean. Parking, breakfast and the pool and sauna were all included. The staff were very friendly and ready to answer questions or help with information. We especially loved Joy who checked us in and helped us with the remote control to our TV. My husband said this was one of his most favorite hotels. We could easily walk into the lovely town of Brienz. The location was close to many of the towns and cities we planned to visit and then we could come back and enjoy the pool and sauna which were such a plus. It was also nice to have a restaurant on site which we went to twice for dinner. The food was very good and the staff very nice and helpful with questions about the menu.
The bathtub as I prefer showers, but it did not take away anything from our stay. There are showers over at the pool that you could use and plenty of towels as well.
Best hotel to stay in switzerland , very nice breakfast and clean room with nice view
Very comfy and cozy hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a relaxing and enjoyable time there with an exceptional view to the lake and alps. Very clean and neat facilities (pool & sauna). Breakfast and their restaurant food was delicious.
We got an amazing room with lake view that was breathtaking we really enjoyed the room And the breakfast view was also very nice with good vraity
The bathrooms were really really small and they had so many warnings about how to use the bathroom and the fines you will be charged if you spell the water in the bathroom. The room was really really small. The bed was not comfortable at all. The breakfast was really really simple not much options at all. The check out was also early by 11:00 am and every 30 minutes you must pay 50 franks extra. Also they has so many warnings about fees for everything around the hotel. Not at a good experience at all.
The bed, the small room, the tiny bathroom, the breakfast, the repeated warnings for additional fees, the entire experience was not as expected.
Only the view of the lake
Location is in the uphill and difficult to reach. They took deposit of 100 CHF and not planned. They gave me paper with many conditions, but the wording feels more like threats with fines.Mosquitoes in the room, bed is not comfortable, no slippers in the bathroom, the bathroom is so small. No drinking water is provided. No variety of breakfast and if you’r late you’ll not find any thing. No liens for the parking and not comfortable.
We arrived to a sweet surprise — chocolates and a kind anniversary card that immediately set the tone for our stay. From the first moments, everything was explained with care, and we felt both welcomed and guided. The views are nothing short of breathtaking — waking up and looking outside felt like being inside a postcard. The hotel itself has an authentic charm, with details that make you feel part of the place rather than just a guest.Breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh croissants, though we missed a wider choice of vegetables and lighter options. The water pressure in the shower was perfect, and even the tap water tasted pure and refreshing. Parking was simple and close by, though we wished for an EV charging option.
There were small downsides — pillows that didn’t give us the best sleep, the absence of AC (only a fan in the room), and no mosquito net on the balcony door, which would have been helpful. Still, these were details in an otherwise beautiful stay, made special by the atmosphere, the view, and the kindness of the people working here.
Amazing view of Lake Brienz, close enough to walk to town, parking and nice grounds. The breakfast included was good.
The rooms are dated, but that could be the theme of the hotel.
Location the view the staff the parking size of room except bathroom
1 the bath room was not bright enough and was pretty small1a the shower curtain is too long so that it clogs the drain2 this was the smallest wash basin I ever saw no.t very comfortable to shave3 the room and the bath room did not have any convenient outlet near a mirror so he hair dryer use was awkward4 the room did not have a side table on one side of the bed nor di it have a CO hello near that side to charge phone or tablet I hat all in all
Fantastic setting and gardens. Good food at restaurant.
Bathroom way too small and hardly up to standard. Plastic shower curtain. No shelves or sufficient hooks to place items or clothes.
Great Location. Breakfast was awesome! Pickup and drop off from the station was great.
It was a hot day, whole apartment was feeling like we were in a sauna.
View from the room
Not worth it. I’m giving 2 stars only for the location and the view (which is available all over Switzerland for free), but otherwise my stay was very disappointing. I understand that air conditioning is uncommon in Switzerland, but that doesn’t make summer heat any less uncomfortable. The hotel provides only a flimsy fan, and their solution is to suggest opening the windows — which have no screens. This means bugs of all kinds come directly into the room, and it also feels unsafe for families with children since there’s no protection at the windows.Once you accept my money, I expect you to provide basic comfort. Instead, I ended up with two sleepless nights, waking up to bugs all over the room and even on the bed. Very frustrating experience. At the least, provide this information on your and other booking websites so we can make an informed decision.
I liked the breakfast and views. They were very pretty! The hotel was very spacious.
I wish that the property had air conditioning or another fan. The hotel got very hot during the day.
• Beautiful view of Lake Brienz• Rooms are cozy and clean• Near the station• Near grocery and souvenir shops• Several restaurants in the area
- You have to book an uber to get up to the hotel or call their shuttle service for assistance (check-in & check-out only). Otherwise, you’ll gonna have to hike your way up which is pretty tiring and takes around 10-20 mins. - Breakfast is pretty plain and bland, not much variety but it can do
The design, the complex, the breakfast and also the restaurant was really good !
the SPA is only composed of two sauna and a hamam but in my opinion, there should be at least something to bath in, a swimming pool, a hot tub or something like that.
The view was great
The staff was not kind. And felt uncomfortable asking for help.
Location was stunning. Lake to the left, waterfall to the right. Room was cute and worked well.
